How do you turn off the service engine soon light on panel

No , no joke ! a leaking gas cap can cause a code for the evaporative emissions system and turn on the check engine light . This EVAP system stores fuel vapors in a charcoal canister that the PCM - engine computer will purge at certain times . But that doesn't happen that much . Most of the time it is other componets That cause the leak ! Plus there are other thing's that will turn on the serviced engine soon light ! Your vehicle can set hundreds of DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes . If the light is on there has to be codes stored or a problem with the instrument cluster . Your best bet take it to the dealer ! I have a 2002 gmc saari awd im having problems with my trans. its a 4l60-e but he trans. may not be the problem don't have awd only 2 wheel the back how do I fix that

If you have a traction control light on or an abs light on the all wheel drive won't work right. All the wheel sensors and speed sensors have to work right.

I have abs and brake light warning lights on, however, when checked by mechanic the abs brakes are working fine. whats causing light to come on?

FOR ONE THING CHANGE MECHANICS ! HE SHOULD HAVE FIXED THE PROBLEM, YOU MAY HAVE A SERIOUS BRAKE ISSUE ! IF LIGHT IS ON IT WILL NOT PASS INSPECTION ! YOU MAY HAVE AIR IN SYSTEM, NEEDS BLEED ! FLUID COULD BE CONTAMINATED , NEEDS BLEED OUT, REPLACED W/ FRESH FLUID ! ABS REQUIRES THAT THE REAR BRAKE CIRCUIT OPERATES BEFORE THE FRONT BRAKES, THIS PREVENTS SKIDDING, THE PURPOSE OF ABS BRAKES, CORRECT ? MASTER CYLINDER HAS SEALS, CONTAMINATED FLUID AFFECTS SEALS, BRAKE LIGHT WILL STAY ON UNTIL PROBLEM IS RESOLVED !!! REAR BRAKES IF SHOES NEED ADJUSTED, CLOSER TO DRUM ! THIS WILL HELP, BUT BLEEDING OUT ALL BAD FLUID & AIR IN SYSTEM IS PARAMOUNT !!!!!! BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH MAY NEED REPLACED, PROPORTIONING VALVE WHICH SEPARATES FRONT FROM REAR BRAKES , IS OUT OF BALANCE, THE VALVE NEEDS TO BE @ A NEUTRAL OR CENTERED POSITION, COULD BE STUCK TOWARD EITHER BRAKE CIRCUIT, MORE FRONT THAN REAR, UNDERSTAND ? THINK I COVERED YOUR ISSUE, PLEASE RATE MAY ANSWER ! THANKYOU,

If it is a V6 fuel injected then either your injector heads and fuel lines may be clogged, go by a container of cleaning fluid for your injector heads, not the one for fuel lines. The one for injector heads will clean both. just pour it into your gas tank and let it sit for five mins then start your vehicle and run for five more mins. Let me know if this solves your problem.

Transmission leak

Why bother buying something with a problem?Get the owner to take it with you to a transmission shop and get their take on it and potential cost. Then get that knocked off the price if you really really want to buy it. My advice is that there are thousands out there, why buy a dog?

Replacing passenger side headlight on van

If you open up the hood you will notice that there is a screw holding in the lens from the top. After you take that screw out there should be a sliding lock mechanism on either side of the lens. Pull those up and it will release the whole lens. Pull it out, replace the light and then put the lens back in.

P0101

Here is the definition of the code.P0101 GMC Description The Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor is placed in the stream of intake air. It measures the intake flow rate by measuring a part of the entire intake flow. It consists of a hot film that is supplied with electric current from the Engine Control Module (ECM).The temperature of the hot film is controlled by the ECM acertain amount. The heat generated by the hot film is reduced as the intake air flows around it. The more air, the greater the heat loss. Therefore, the ECM must supply more electric current to maintain the temperature of the hot film as air flow increases. The ECM detects the air flow by means of this current change. Faulty mass air flow sensor- Intake air leaks- Dirty mass air flow sensor- Dirty air filter- Mass air flow sensor harness is open or shorted- Mass air flow sensor electrical circuit poor connectionRead more: http://engine-codes.com/p0101_gmc.html#ixzz223ibNx6tRead more: http://engine-codes.com/p0101_gmc.html#ixzz223i9HR3J

I have gmc safari 2002 one day I was coming home from work all of sudden the van cut off while driving I towed to the machinc but they can not find the problem the battery and starter are new and fuel

You need fuel, spark at the right time, and compression for the engine to run. You'll have to figure out if it is a fuel or ignition problem if the compression is ok.The list includes low fuel pressure, cap-rotor-wires, spark plugs, coil, ignition module, various relays and fuses, and the computer.Even the key switch could be faulty.I would check for trouble codes first.

Could be one of two things, maybe both, either the water pump isn't doing it's job right, or the radiator is clogged. In either case, it should be replaced.
