Starter won't turn but lights

With the ignition off, locate the starter, use a handle from a broom or hammer and give the starter a whack. Try this a couple of times, it may get it going. Over time the "brushes" wear and the resulting dust coats the little copper contacts, this in turn insulates it so no current will pass and the starter will not turn. It may work a few times before it plugs again, so look into getting ready to purchase a rebuild or new starter.

Wont start tries to turn

You need to clip it to the POSITIVE side of the battery and touch it to the NEGATIVE coil. It should blink fast.

When hooked to the neg battery and pos coil, it should stay on when the key is on.

This I all learned from my thread having no-start issues. If its blinking at coil , control module should be good. i'm thinking magnetic pickup in distributor.

Keep us updated.

I have a 2000 GMC

The doors your hear the door lock actuators operating are all fine with one exception. A rubber boot that slips onto the end of each actuating rod has either worned down or fell off. The boots are thick so if worn or missing the door will not unlock. They will lock if used. Tht makes people wonder whats wrong with these. GM parts departments did sell rhese boots at one time. They still may be able to order them for you

What could "Service All-wheel drive",

Well you could look in your manual, but asking someone else to look in their manual is easier. You could buy a replacement manual for 2 bucks on ebay. Or you could call a GM dealer and ask them.
Offhand I would think a sensor is telling you that some attention need be paid the mechanical parts of the AWD system ASAP. But that is just me.

2000 gmc safari no oil pressure but engine will

Hi, you could do a manual oil pressure test with a guage screwed into an access port, to verify oil pressure, but if it runs, does not tick, or knock, you may have a bad sending unit, mounted below the distributor, at the rear of the engine. Good luck...

How much does a fuel pump cost for a 2000 Safari

The fuel pump costs anywhere from $160 and up if you are looking to buy it to put on yourself. If you are going to have a shop install it for you, they will get the part at their price and have you pay them along with the labor to install the fuel pump. Now the price to have a shop install the pump will vary from place to place. Just ask around at local shops and see how much they want to install it but make sure that it is known for good work. Hope this helps.
