I have a 02 ford mustang and it is misfiring
Go to Autozone or Oreillys and get a FREE scan. This scan will identify the cylinder that is misfiring. Your model may have a Crank and Cam sensor that is failing. These components replace Distributors in function.
A scanner should identify the problem.

Location of the IAT wires for a 03 Ford Mustang
I have to be very honest with you on this one. Do not splice into your IAT wire circuit to add this so called chip. Your chip is nothing more than a resistor, and is a gimick. I guess the question one should as themself is: If this resistor created power and noticeable engine performance, then why didn't Ford just add this .25 cent resistor to the circuit? They would have saved thousands of dollars in manufacturing costs, and gained a lot more in performance.
Another question; Why didn't this so called chip come with instructions and guide people thru this process. If you want to create lean conditions and cause other driveability problems in the future, then install this resistor.
If you want real performance, Purchase a Tuner programmer from Summit Racing and use your lap top to set, adjust and control all engine management components to get the most from your vehicle...this is the correct way....not a resistor. I'm sure many people say their freinds have it and it works, I say show me the Dyno results and the lap top performance results!
Just trying to help you out and prevent you from getting pulled in to this false product.

My '03 Mustang started acting funny today. I
i"ve heard that these year model have problems with defective MAF (mass air flow sensors. i only mention this because i just saw a you tube and a mechanic had mentioned that..but the sputtering could be caused by a number of things. sounds like it could also be a fuel delivery problem, possibly a sticky fuel injector..you can try a quick easy fix by trying some Sea foam fuel treatment and drive it around for about 30 miles to see if that will clear it up. Also does you car idle properly? I mean does it lope or surge? because if it does you may want to clean the IAC (idle air contol), this is just a recomendation, my car was doing this and i never ever seviced it before, and you should have seen the biuldup of crud on the pintle, i cleaned it, and now it idles perfectly. it only took me 10 minutes to take off and clean it. hope one of these suggestions helps if not please get back to me.

If you look at your coil pack the terminals are numbered with the cylinder they go to. The cylinders are as follows: Passenger side of engine, closest cyl to radiator is cyl 1, then behind it is 2 and 3, drivers side of engine closest to rad is 4,5,6. Good luck!

My check engine light came on this morning and I
Hi:
It is not likely the high brake fluid will trip the check engine light. There are hundreds of things that will, including some so simple as a loose gas cap. An easy way to find out what caused the light is to stop by a local auto parts store, such as autozone. they will scan your car for free and tell you what caused the light if possible. Then you can go from there!
