I have an 2000 ford crown victoria interceptor

Absolutely. But check connections first. Also, did it come with a new boot. If not replace it. Do your swap test again, and you'll know for sure.

How replace fan belt for Ford Crown Victoria 2000?

Mechanical Fan Belt Removal & Installation - Refer to Illustration below

Ford 4.6L Engine - Ford Crown Victoria, Mercury Grand Marquis, Lincoln Town Car, Marauder

1. Loosen the fan clutch-mounting shaft from the water pump hub.

2. Loosen the fan shroud from its radiator mounting and remove the lower hose from the shroud.

3. Lift the fan and clutch assembly and the fan shroud from the vehicle.

4. If necessary, remove the fan-to-fan clutch retaining bolts and separate the fan from the fan clutch.

CAUTION
Closely examine the fan for cracks or separation, to avoid the possibility of personal injury or vehicle damage.

To install:

1. Assemble the fan and fan clutch. Tighten the retaining bolts to 15-20 ft. lbs. (20-27 Nm).

2. Install the fan and clutch assembly and the fan shroud. Mount the fan clutch shaft to the water pump hub and tighten to 37-46 ft. lbs. (50-62 Nm).

3. Slip the shroud into the lower mounting clips and install the shroud retaining screws.

I just Replaced the dash lights in my 2000 crown vic and there are bulbs in there. I replaced 6 of them and I can see my shift indicator, speedo, and the other gauges at night now. It took me about 2 hours to figure out how to pull the dash apart.

I have a 200 crown vic, my problem is with the

First off make sure that the relay for the fan is operational. Is the engine light on? Get the codes scanned at your local parts store. One alternative that I do not recommend, unless nothing else works, is to mount a switch on the dash and connect it to a power wire and the fan. Then you can manually turn the fan on and off but tends to be a pain in the **** and hurts resale value because nobody else is going to want to deal with that. Try to fix it right before you "rig" something up.

Turns over fine but wont

There is a little spot on the fuel rail that looks like a valve stem for airing up your tires. Go borrow or buy a fuel pressure gauge and screw it on the fuel rail. If the pressure is not high enough (cant remember the exact psi) the car will spit and sputter but not run. This could be due to a clogged fuel filter or, more painfully expensive, a fuel pump on its way out. The fuel pumps on these are in the tank and you have to drop the tank to change it. If the fuel pressure is Correct, you have me stumped with out more information. Hope this helps.

Have you tried premium fuel? If this cures it then its just "ping" or "spark knock". Have you checked the oil recently? Make sure its full. This could be serious but is hard to diagnose with out hearing it. Hope this at least gets you started.
