How to remove rear axel from ford crown victoria
do u mean the axle has "play" when u grab the tire and wiggle it up and down?? if it has play, then it propbably needs an AXLE SEAL AND AXLE BEARING.you will have to carefully inspect the axle itself where the bearing rides for any gouging or damage. THIS JOB requires a decent amount of mechanical skill. 1ST you need to remove the rear end COVER and drain out the gear oil into a drain pan.2ND remove the brake caliper and rotor . 3RD spin the" ring and pinion " around until u see a 5/16 bolt that passes thru from the pass. side to the drivers side. u have to remove this bolt. u will need to "hold "the gears from turning in order to break loose this bolt. 4TH remove this bolt and slide out the large metal ""PIN" that 'divides" the rear end in half. NOW CAREFULLY WITHOUT TURNING THE REAR END SPIDER GEARS,PUSH IN THE AXLE TOWARDS THE INSIDE SO U CAN REMOVE THE "C-CLIP" AT INNER END OF AXLE. now u can slide out axle and youll be able to replace seal and if needed axle bearing. let me know if u need more info.
2000 Ford Crown Victoria (police pkg) wont start?
The first thing you need to do is have the computer scanned for trouble codes to narrow down the possible causes. But that would require a code reader or scanner. Have you checked fuel pressure with a gauge ? Are you getting spark to the plugs ? Because of the moan from the pump, there's a good chance the pump has failed.
Ford Crown Vic p0300 random cylinder misfire
take a look at the EGR valve it could be either vacum controlled or electronic either way what seems to be the problem is that the valve is stuck in the open position until the engine warms up you can gently tap the egr valve with a small hammer or a screw driver and you can see that it runs smooth, now if the egr valve is vacum controlled replace the valve. if it is electronoc controlled replace the valve and the module for the egr valve.
2000 ford CV ac problems
just go to auto zone or where ever and when they ask you if you have ac say no then they will give you the size you need
I locked my keys in
The trunk release button will do the job. If the ignition needs to be on for the trunk button to engage then you can take the panel off and there should be an alternate harness that you can swap with the one that is currently on the switch and that will allow the switch to engage without the ignition on. If you don't have access to your vehicle you will have to contact a taxi company or a tow truck company and ask if they provide a lock out service. Taxicabs offer a cheaper service in my area.
Battery light on its not battery or alternator
No guessing hereThat wouldn't even be possibleYou need the car, trouble charts & actuallywork on diagnosing- possibly more than one issueYou have an abs light on, so there is a place tostart & resolve before moving on to non checklight & code related items
HEADLIGHT FLICKER THEN SHUT OFF
check to ensure the connection is secure at the light socket itself even jiggle the connection to ensure this dirt etc may cause a faulty connection ...also is this just one or both headlights
I just pruchased a 2000
Just a guess Mike, but that has all the symptoms of a security system thinking you are stealing your new car-try locking/unlocking the car with the keyless remote fob, or the door key pad (if you have one)-make sure it is in park, if that doesn't work, put it in neutral and try to crank it-Hood, trunk is shut, right? Call the former owner and ask questions, use a voltage meter (digital) and check the battery voltage (should be at least 12.5)-
