I have a 2000 Crown Vic and occasionally there is white smoke coming from drivers side(closest to me) just minutes into driving. Its only noticeable while at a light or when parked and I have just cut

after driving the car to normal temp...go drive around and when you do see smoke like that, pull over into parking lot (leave the car running) and look underneath the car and hood...see where the smoke coming from. Then you would know the answer.

"my 2000 ford crown vic keeps ding when i drive dash gages go off but come back up when it will start i belive its a short some where"

Check the connections, it could be a loose connection. Start the car and leave it running...put your hand under the dashboard on driver side, and wiggle any wire cable while watching the dash gages. Once you see it, then you know it.

Air conditioning only blows cold air.

Can you hear the blend door moving when you change the temp from cold to hot or vice versa? If not, then you need new blend door actuator. Also check the heater core for any blockage. (2 ways to tell....run the car til normal temp, and turn on the heat and feel the hoses by the firewall...if one is hotter than other, there is a blockage inside the heater core. Or disconnect both hoses at firewall, and put garden hose in one of those 2 open tubes and turn on the water...good flow or weak flow coming out of heater core tube? Weak flow means blockage) If there is a blockage, time to get new one.

Cylinder 4 misfire on a 2000 crown victoria interceptor

first cylinder 4 is the last on the passenger side . first pull the coil out and check if there is water where the plug is. if there is take the water out and dry up the coil. if you find water you got a crack manifold or a bad intake manifold gasket. if there is no water replace the coil. good luck

HAVE AN 2002 FORD CROWN

The 02 Crown Vic's do not have "plug wires". There is a coil attached to the top of each spark plug. look for 4 identical "boxes" along each side of the motor and those are the coils. You unbolt those to access the spark plugs.

All my gauges stopped working

Check the fuses under the dash board. If there fine, sometimes Ford has a secondary type of fuse box located next to fuse box itself under the dash board called an Indicator Warning System Control. (small little box right next to it, sometimes white). If it's loose it could cause instrument cluster to malfuncation. push on it make sure it's secure.
