Started knocking and shut off ? Now will not start? That sounds bad - check fluids - engine oil and coolant - those three symptoms can indicate overheating (either by lack of coolant or engine oil). Did either fluid get low AND does the engine oil look contaminated - milky colored and way overful. Not Start? Does it turn the engine and just not fire up running? Or does the engine not turn over at all? If the engine is siezed - you can tell by the electrical power needed to crank the engine - turn on the lights and try to crank the engine - if all you hear from the starter is a click and all the lights dim - that means a lot of power is needed like: 1. the battery doesn't have enough power - jump start to verify 2. or it requires more power to turn the engine than the battery can provide - engine siezed - try turning the engine by hand with socket/wrench to verify. I hope your engine is not siezed - if so - hope you still have warranty coverage on the powertrain. Please let me know what you find and if this helps?

Only 2 things could be wrong. The brake light switch mounted by the brake pedal arm or the shifter solenoid. Column shifter solenoids you can buy. But console shifters, you have to buy the entire shifter to get the solenoid.

Low compression can be caused by worn piston rings or worn valves. If blue smoke is coming out of the exhaust during high revs then it's more likely to be piston ring wear.

Call Ford and give them your VIN number to your vehicle and they can cut a new key for you.

could be a loose engine mount but there are a few things it could be so some one would need to hear it for a better diagnosis

Would like more info...do i understand it does it while parked idle and when traveling? Does the rythem change with speed or rpm's?

Take out the transmission.. Take out the flywheel and very carefully pry out the seal. Make sure you don't scratch the crank shaft where it contacts the seal .Tap in the new seal with a rubber hammer.

hi u should ckeck the abs ring on the drive shaft on the nearside it could b broken they r bad for rusting then break and give the abs a wrong reading try this first

check your owners manuel for a fuse .. if there is no fuse for o/d then the overdrive soleniod in no working ... the solenoid is located inside the transmission pan attached to the valve body -- first check to see if the connections on the transmission are good.. sometimes a wire will come dislodged from the group of wires in the plug

The problem is serious enough to damage the catalytic converter when the light is flashing. If you have the engine computer scanned for trouble codes you will have important info to diagnose the problem.

Worn or damaged steering linkages or rack and pinion
