your going to have to pull radio out and write serail # down and then call dealer or they may make you come down and prove owner ship, then they can give you the code,

fuses shud be located on the side of the motor its nice size boxs it shud pop off an then once u took the top off see all the fuses now the top u took off has wat fuse is for wat under neth it.

if it were engine/gearbox you would feel the vibration at a specific rev range (say 3000 to 3500)but you say that when you put your foot on the clutch it gets worse....at 70 mph....so look for something from the tyres,wheels,bearings,rotors,drive shafts,
the first thing is to have the wheels dynamically balanced(up/down/sideways)then check bearings......,going up in cost,always start with the cheapest parts as these tend to go quicker.

the language can only be changed using diagnostic equipment.
if you have a diagnostic machine, you need to go to dash(some machines address17), then go to adaption channels(some machines adress 10), chanell number 4. this can be set to:
0...off
1...german
2...english
etc

Must be a broken cat converter. The platinum honeycomb core is broken into several pieces and clogging the exhaust pipe preventing you to go more than 45 mph. Try hitting it with a rubber mallet and listen if any pieces rattling inside. If it sounds like pebbles inside, it's time to replace it.

eBay or Haynes website is your best bet. Most auto shops have manuals - if not try the parts department of your VW dealer.

i also have a MK5 golf tdi with cental locking problem the drivers door wont open from the fob but all the other doors will, i taken the car to a garage last week when it was pluged in to the computer it showed errors they cleared them it sem't to solve the problem now its started again ?

If you recently had a cam belt or clutch job it could have been installed in a way it was stressing it out. No matter what it has to be replaced and it should be all lined up properly.

Go to the public library if you want it free. I don't think anybody would have the resource to upload the whole Bentley's manual after paying $75 for his copy.

the gearbox is a computer controlled auto with 4th lock up (O/D) and should, if driven very carefully,change from fluid drive to mechanical drive at about 30 mph.to check transmision carry out the following.
from standstill,put car in drive,no gas,and let the car reach max speed(about 30 ish)then.
from standstill using 1/3 gas pedal (do not move gas foot)let the car accelerate to max speed.
lastly, put car in drive and floor gas pedal(make sure you are alone)then
drive as economically as you can, the gearshift patern will then adjust to your driving style(takes about 50 miles)You will feel the car go from fluid to mechanical drive as a kind of slight drop in revs then ...engage.
assuming you have checked fluid level first of course....

take the head off and see what it is. Probably the valve. Or could be a weak valve spring. If so you may be able to change it out with just removing the valve cover. But not easy.

the synchronizer is bad not alowing the forks to keep in fifth gear it is probably cheaper to rebuild it than it is to buy a new one still over 1000 easy
