Check for a fuel pressure regulator. If you are testing the pressure at the end of the line, the fuel has already passed through the regulator. I'd be willing to bet the pressure coming from the pump(s) directly is up to snuff.

Check the wires in between the door and the chasis. Remove the rubber insulation and check for broken wires. This is a common problem. I also have a Golf 5 and recently same thing happened on my deriver side. Onces I resoldered the wires and insolate them seperatly so that no open wires are visible, I reconnect and the alarm + door worked with the remote.

You do not need huge oil pressure to have the oiling system do its job. Pressure can be low, like 20 psi and still lube and protect..... Too high pressure blows seals and the like.... The lubrication system and its pressure depend on all of the clearances to be tight enough (meaning oil pressure lubed areas like cam, crank mains, lifters, rods, etc. So, the top limit of the pressuer is controlled by a relief valve, usually on the pump or the oil filter. this limits the upper amount of pressure that you can develop.
Are you consuming, or burning oil? How many miles before you add a quart of oil? Factories claim a quart in 600 miles okay. But for me, I need 1500 to 2500 miles at one quart is normal....
