If you have problem with the theft system on your car.
First check the proper funtionallity of the Ignition lock cylinder.

I have a 2001 sunfire. when I lock the car the alarm goes off every 10 minutes and the dome light comes on. the dome light also comes on when i use the brake? help!!!

it sounds like you body control module is bad. the body control module runs everything inside the car. it is located under the dash right next to the colunm

Makes noise for a few seconds before starting . Radio cannot keep time anymore if car is not running

The radio has 2 power supply's. One is always on for the clock and radio memory. And the other is switched by the ignition. You need to check fuses. And possibly remove radio to check your power supply. I there is no constant power clock will only work with key on.
