I have a 91 ga sle, manual with a 4 valve 16VOHC.

maybe. depends on how badly you failed. new plugs could make the diff. so could new air filter and an oil change. oil stores a lot of hydrocarbons. if you failed by a lot more costly action may be necessary.

98 pontiac granb am... run good tell that fuel

You should start with testing fuel pressure you may Also wont to replace your fuel filter,.If the fuel pressure test OK the high pitch noise you are talking about is it from the exhaust .if so then chances are that you have a bad catalytic converter ,if bad it may rattle if taped on ,is so what happens is the broken pieces in it turn sideways causing a restriction in the exhaust ,hope this helps you ,please let us know if we can be of any further assistance . Thank You.

Hi there, Please help me. I have a pontiac

hi,
Im going to take a stab at this and say to say fuel lock. this condition arises when the fuel filter gets clogged and the fuel stays pressurized in the system and causes the computer to not energize anything because there is fuel pressure present already. try replacing the fuel filter. if you still have a problem your best bet would be to take it in and have them put it on a computer rather than nickel and diming yourself good luck

Wene starting car it back fires in engector bowl

Remove spark plugs, clean and regap. (LABLE THE LEADS TO THE CORRECT PLUGS) Or, replace plugs and set gap to GM specs. Any GM service center will tell you what the gap should be. It is probably between 20-30 thousands of an inch.
