Spray starter fluid in the intake. If the engine starts on the fluid (it'll die once it burns off the fluid) then you likely have a bad fuel pump. You'll want to check the fuse for the pump and the relay (the relay should click when you first turn the key on, it helps to have someone do this while you listen to the relay) before you replace the pump. If you have a volt/ohm meter, check for voltage at the fuel pump as well. If you have voltage there and the pump doesn't run, replace the pump.

in 93, some have a TCM , transmissing shifting brain. puter. it has flash codes, its own DTC, this is covered in the FSM , online at all mazda forums and at alldata.com. on old TCM , you insert a jumper and the TCM goes to diagnostic mode and can tell you if it has bad inputs. that be first , after checking ATF levels. and all fuses.

I don't know what you mean by color coding . there is a part number on the side of the distributor .if you take it to your mazda dealer they will help you .
