What does code P0753 Shift Solenoid "A" mean and how to locate the solenoid so we can repair it?
Where is the solenoid located?
P0753 means your powertrain computer detects a continuous open, short to ground or short to power in the circuit to your transmission's 1-2 shift solenoid. When the code is active, your transmission runs in a fail safe/limp home mode that only lets certain gear ratios function in the transmission.
The solenoid in your application looks like this
and it is located sometimes on the side of the transmission, but my guess is from the looks of it, it might be found inside the transmission, only accessible with the oil pan removed.
The problem might be the solenoid itself, or the wiring going to the solenoid from the computer that controls the transmission, or the computer itself.

My Envoy has a trouble code P0495. Technician's preliminary analysis is a failed cooling fan clutch. Car is not overheating. Does the clutch typically fail in the locked position and manifest itself with a loud racing sound? Is there a relay that engages the fan clutch? If so, how do I perform the necessary fault analysis to isolate the specific problem?
Thank you!

clicking noise comes from dash area when heater is turned on and the floor mode is on. stops when switched to the upper vents.
Do you hear a clicking noise when you turn your truck on? Its probably the actuator. While the defroster was on I removed the fuse locted under the rear driver side seat. I think its 36B. It stopped the clicking noise and my air vents work well now.

Why do my windshield wipers come on randomly and won't turn off with the switch
The switch may be bad or the park switch inside the wiper motor had failed.

2003 GMC Envoy code P1345 My book says correlation between camshaft sensor and crankshaft sensor. It started idling rough. Runs OK otherwise, maybe a little lacking power. Also, code P0105 MAP sensor (I replaced already) and code P0128 Coolant temp sensor. Any help? THANKS!!
P1345 "Camshaft To Crankshaft Position Correlation Fault"
Maybe a sensor ( camshaft or crankshaft position) is failing or has a bad connection at the plug.
Check both the camshaft and crankshaft sensors:--
The camshaft Position sensor (CMP) Is located on the front of head, directly above the belt. Small bolt holds it in, and it is a round sensor. If any belt maintance was done recently, Look for the sensor to have been damaged. It is the electrical connector that is EASILY damaged by a ratchet when turning the belt tensioner to remove belt.
camshaft position sensor, Don't forget to remove and clean the camshaft position solenoid.
908 is the sensor 421 is the Solonoid. click on the link directly :-- http://www.compnine.com/largeimg/060425TS00-402.gif
The one on the front of the block is easy to replace and the cam position sensor actuator solenoid is on the side. To replace the one on the side, where you may also find oil in the electrical connector, the serpentine belt must come off and the power streering pump must be loosened by inserting a socket through the holes in the pulley where there are three bolts.
----------
The crank sensor is located on the drivers side rear of engine just below the starter.
Check both this sensors.clean the sensors and refit it and check. If still the same error code 1345 then its either the faulty sensor or timing issue. The timing belt needs to be rechecked.
Also the camshaft position sensor code may have set because of the low oil pressure to the variable timing system from low oil in the motor.
Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

OBD II Code P0442
Evaporative System Malfunction, Small Leak
Our emissions expert has put together the following information about

Basics
The evaporative control (EVAP)
system captures any raw fuel evaporating from the fuel storage system
(e.g. the fuel tank, filler neck, and fuel cap). Under precise operating
conditions-dictated by engine temperature, speed, and load-the EVAP system stores and purges these captured fuel vapors back into the combustion process.
Want to Learn More?
The EVAP
system is designed not only to capture, store, and purge any raw fuel
vapors that leak from areas in the Fuel Storage system, but also to run a
series of self-tests that confirm or deny the operational and vapor
holding ability of the system. This is an important task because at
least 20 percent of vehicle-produced air pollution originates from
malfunctioning Vehicle Fuel Storage systems.
There are many ways to "leak test" the EVAP system, but most perform
the leak test when the vehicle is sitting (like over night) or during
the initial start-up after the vehicle has been sitting over night. The
EVAP system's operational performance is also tracked by the Power Train Computer by reading the change in the oxygen sensor
voltages and short term fuel trim whenever the stored vapors are
released or "purged" back into the combustion process. These values
should indicate that fuel is being added to the system and that the
overall mixture is getting richer. The purging process occurs when the
vehicle is under acceleration, which is when most vehicles require
additional fuel.
P0442 Diagnostic Theory for Shops and Technicians
The
P0442 code indicates that there is a small leak in the EVAP system, but
this is somewhat misleading. What the code really indicates is that the
EVAP system will not hold a specified level of vacuum for a specified
amount of time when it performs its leak test.
Here is how the evaporative leak test is performed by the Power Train Computer:
