Videos is the easy way.

That tends to point to an issue with the BCM and its data network. You need an auto electrician with a pro grade scan tool computer to diagnose the issue as it is a strange one.

You can't, that only happens in old movies. Your immobilizer works with a chip in the key transmitting a code to the transponder in the ignition column which sends the code to the engine computer, the body control computer, the transmission computer and the ignition module. They all have a chat about it and then decide if they will let the car have power to the ignition and fuel pump. This all happens fast between the ignition lighting up and turning the starter motor. dis-connect both battery cables from the battery. Touch them together and re-connect them to the battery. remember disconnect both, don't be lazy and only disconnect one.

Hi Teresa, I recently had the same problem as my wife's envoy wouldn't start and shift out of park so I could tow it home. You have to remove the shift nob and center console to access the silver button on the bottom right side of the shifting mechanism, but before your center console will lift out of position there are several screws under cup holder rubber mats and the rubber mats inside the center console.

the noise is telling you the emergency brake is on (or it thinks it is) emergency brakes don't use any fluids as they are totally mechanical on your truck , id first try setting the brake and then releasing it again , if this still doesn't clear the light on then id have your mechanic look at it , might require an adjustment id be cautious in driving it if theres any possibility that brake is dragging as this will severely overheat your brakes requiring you to replace them early

Well, the problem is that I dont know the reason, you should investigate. There could be issues with lamps (must get new) or electricity problems (must head to auto-service)

The 4.2 I6 doesn't have one.

The main fuse block is under the hood in plain view. It has a black plastic cover and will have the word fuse on it. Pull the cover off (some have a single bolt, some you push in tabs). It is the #15 fuse. I tried to upload a pic but there is an issue with the site. There are a lot of pictures online. Hope that helps

There is a set screw that is probably missing or the shift cylinder needs replaced.

The carbon cannister hoses may be cracked, there might be a rubber fuel line hose leaking too.

Make sure it's not on the sepentine belt causing it to slip . Possible that it got into a connector I guess . Check that you didn't bump into a connection also .
