this could be a problem with engine managment you can get it pluged in to a diagnostic tool and they will give a fault code these can be purchesed from well known aution sites for 30 pounds

pull inside door panel unbolt miror replace with new one

If the warning light does not come on but the engine will run, the bulb may be blown or removed.

Could be a coolant temp sensor.

Code 304 is for a miss on cylinder 4 if that is your question.It could be spark, fuel, or something mechanical.

Could be spark, fuel, a vac leak, or several other things.Have you checked fuel pressure, and the condition of the distributor cap and wires ?Is the check engine light on ?

Try checking the headlight switch it may have broken contacts in it. Easy fix go to a salvage yard find same make and model truck, swap headlight switches.

If you know for a fact the crankcase is full, and you are loosing oil, and there are no external leaks, the engine is burning it.In your case it could be from the engine not having a chance to warm up. Or the rings and valve seals could be getting weak.

Depending on which version you have, it has a clip on the inside of the firewall, or you insert the cylinder at a 45 degree angle then turn it to make it vertical. That locks the cylinder into the mounting bracket.
