I have a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am, 3.4L and get a P0452 EVAP Emmission Control System Pressure sensor low input. Car runs rough and wants to stall. Also, has a high pitch whine. can you help? I just repl

Evaps will cause a lot of problems if there is an air leak in the system. Many systems have an overflow pipe and a vent line from the gas tank to the back of the fuel filler tube (not may manuals show it). The filler tube lines where they connect are metal and rust out, as a result you will get an air leak, that's very hard to track down because its hidden behind the filler tube. Check those lines for any leaks, may solve your evap issue. As for the whine, are you sure the head and intake manifold gaskets were properly installed (with all coolant passages open? Whining usually indicates a bearing failure or a metal to metal contact as in lack of oil, or lack of coolant in water pump etc. Try using a stethoscope to locaet the source of the noise area for further inspection.

Why DRL will not shut off on 2004 grand am?

are they on with the key out or always on only when it runs? If its only when it runs that is normal for those vehicles. if they stay on with the key out then you may have a relay with stuck closed contacts, a headlamp switch issue, etc etc

Why will my car will start and run for about 15 minutes then dies, if i turn on the air or radio

So you tested what? We can not guess here for you How about fuel pressure at the motor when it quits How about loss of spark or injector pulse Check for a worn out fuel pump You turn on accy's A/C etc it slowly quits Have to tell all that to a repair shop How old is the battery 3,4,5,6,years old Killed it a few times Maybe only a failed battery Not often a motor will shuts off, unless you really a serious problem or very very neglected vehicle

What causes the security engine lock to engage so you cannot start engine?

The key fob or key itself has a chip in it which allows a mating receiver in the ignition switch to recognise it. There may be a problem with your key if you left it near a strong magnetic or electrical source. Also something to check is whether the vehicle system is fully charged because sometimes low voltage ie low battery, can have an effect on whether the security system operates. Some immobilisers won't function below 9-10 volts.
