1998 nissan quest stall at stop light, engine will not start. Engine will crank but not turning over.
Very difficult to advise here as the list of faults for this problem is numerous could be anything from a blocked cat to a temperature sensor and what you need is a mechanic to test drive it so the vehicle cuts on them then a good mechanic worth his salt will have a good idea what it is ,does it restart when cold ?? if so then the autochoke could be defective and in all honesty i couldnt tell you offhand with my head under the bonnet

The van (98 Quest) starts
IGNORE the knock sensor code, unless you have $600 to throw away for nothing. First step is to clean your MAF sensor with spray carb cleaner. Spray, do not touch the 1/2 inch long exposed wires inside the MAF sensor. The MAF is in the big plastic air intake tube near the air cleaner. 2 screws hold it on.

- Auto inspections of the vehicle may produce results contributing towards restoration. For example, the auto technician makes the evaluation as separate arrangement from which problematic areas are ascertainable. The result findings are documented as diagnostic draft plans from which repair authorizations are achievable. At which point, diagnostic without repair requirements would least requires any further procedures. However, once the vehicles diagnostics produce result requiring expert vehicle repairs, the next sequence of procedures are initiated. First, vehicle repairs require constituent components either permanent parts or depleteable resources constituents prior to workshop initiation plans. Auto technician diagnostic plans would usually contain the damage of the vehicle. A decision to commence restoration of the faults would produce estimate drafts in parts repaired for either replacement acquirable, leasable or alternately. The next sequence includes calculations estimates in resources that would be required contributing towards entire workshop restoration process procedures.

Need to no how to change starter in 1998 nissan
There are many small steps in this process. Do yourself a favor and buy a service manual on CD over on ebay. That way you will have text and pictures and a resource for your next problem. If you can buy a tank of gas, you can afford a manual on CD.

1998 nissan quest front brakes what tools are
Just a basic 3/8 drive metric socket and ratchet set. A brake hose clamp, a four way to remove the wheel, a floor jack and jackstand to get it up, and a drip tray wouldn't hurt.A few wrenches would be a good idea, to blled the calipers, will either be an 8 mm, 10 mm, or a 3/8 standar wrench, that's it...Hope I could help, Rate me accordingly, Thanks!!
