1998 Nissan Quest Questions & Answers
My nissan quest 1998 doesn't want to start.
need to check the engine fuse as well as other fuses first. both fuse boxes in the car and under the hood. also some models have a ballest type fuse located on or near the firewall. good luck

You need to take off the ignition wire to allow air to dry the ends of the wire. If that doesn't try replacing the wire. If that doesn't work, you may have to replace the spark plug because it may have cracked during restart. The only other thing left to do is replace the rotor button and distributer cap. If water gets into the cap, it will crack and won't let the car start.
How to check fuses of nisan quest
if you can find fuse box then with a test light earth clip to a good earth location(metal ign key works)touch pionty end of test light to one side of fuse then to the other. if the ignition is on and headlights on all fuses should light uptest light on both sides. if light on one side only fuse is blown
KEEPS TURNING OFF
remove the oil drain plug to take some oil out. as long as you get oil in engine it will smoke until it is burn off.
1998 nissan quest stall at stop light, engine will not start. Engine will crank but not turning over.
Very difficult to advise here as the list of faults for this problem is numerous could be anything from a blocked cat to a temperature sensor and what you need is a mechanic to test drive it so the vehicle cuts on them then a good mechanic worth his salt will have a good idea what it is ,does it restart when cold ?? if so then the autochoke could be defective and in all honesty i couldnt tell you offhand with my head under the bonnet
