no and the word fits means , NOTHING. bolts on, (the 4 bolts align ok, only) passes smog test.s runs car perfect in all temperatures and altitudes. choke works. All vacuum parts work. linkage fits perfect as does the a/T kickdown cable. and the list goes on..... why not post symptoms and not do wild guessing, on parts swaps btw , parts swaps on cars is the most complex topic there is. you never stated both engine sizes.

If it is actually leaking out of the EGR valve it needs replaced,or if it is leaking from the gasket then replace gasket

The light will not immediately turn off. It takes 2-3 full ignition cycles to reset. If you want to reset it yourself, the tool you use to check it with has that capability.
