you have the timing way way off on the timing chain or belt witch ever one it has redo it and pay close attention to the marks and tdc your #1 cyclinder will be all the way up and both valves will be closed for that cyclinder then your going to have to determine how much the timing is off and move it to that position.

INTERNAL TRANS SYNCROS, SLAVE CYLINDER,SHIFTER ADJUSTMENT......CHECK ALL

If brakes on all four wheels are applied, have you checked the master cylinder and brake pedal ?

if its a auto should be under bonnet next to bulk head either side not sure though

if its a turbo,see if the tubes on turbo still connected
