1993 Nissan Pathfinder - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
BREAK LAMPS and PARKING LAMPS STOPPED WORKING
I know this may be a silly Question, so forgive me ...
Did you check the fuses? One fuse controls every thing you listed as being out.
You may also have to make sure your alarm is not interfearing with your diagnosing.
And yes these trucks do have light switch problems. I have often taken the cover off the back of the switch and cleaned the contacts with some fine sand paper.
It works about 4 out of 5 times.
Please let me know if this helps

My 1993 pathfinder with automatic
It sounds like the shift cable has either come loose or pulled apart. It's much easier to check with two people. Chock the wheels so it cannot move. Have a friend move the shifter and check that the linkage under the vehicle is moving as the shifter is operated. There are some YouTube videos that can help with diagnosis and replacement

Pathfinder troubleshooting
What have you replaced recently? One man in UK replaced a relay unit in the igniton wiring with one that fit and worked perfectly for 11 minutes and 46 seconds exactly, then all power in the engine was lost. Turn the key to off, turn on, start engine, perfect for another 11 minutes and 46 seconds, ad infinitum.he drove 1100 miles including motorways with this fault, on, off, on, off....
At home he found that the relay that fitted perfectly was the type of relay for the rear window Heater on a French brand of car..the one which turns off after 11 minutes and 46 seconds.
it's a long shot but did you?........

Why would my turn signals quit working when its hot outside
If it is hot outside it is hot inside. The turn signals are controlled by a bimetallic strip which heats up and when it gets hot enough the straightening strip breaks contact and turns the lights off, the strip cools down then turns the lights on again etc etc. so if the canister is quite old and the strip is fatigued it may no longer be working in that manner and may be jammed on?
replace the flasher unit with a new one, they are cheap and easy to replace.
Please get back to us with your solution to this problem as it may help someone in the future. Thanks.

Where is alt located?
I think you mean alternator which is the round metal thing drive by the engine via a drive belt. It is the only accessory driven by the belts at the front of the engine that had a large electrical cable coming off it.
