Door code??? 1991 Nissan Maxima is not equipped a with keypad-type entry system, so I have no clue what you are talking about.

if its the ECM it will throw a trouble code causing a check engine or service engine soon light to appear on the dash. if not you most likely have a stuck or blown valve body in the transmission and its time to rebuild or replace.

You definetly have a cold start problem you are not equipt with a cold start injector,or thermotime switch, a coolant temp sensor is a good possibility but I am going to put my finger on the MAF (mass air flow) Your MAF is a hot wire type,it is used by the ECM for engine load and fuel calculation.Your Nissan have known poor ground at the MAF,and to cause false 02 (oxygen sensor code) this can be repair by adding a additional wire to the MAF ground circuit.

Hello there and welcome to fixya If you have a rear seat and can remove it or get to the axcess panel for the trunk using a light of course to see with look at the lock and you will see 2 silver rods that go to it if you pull up on one of those rods it will take some muscle to do it but it will let you open the trunk from the inside then i would remove the lock and either have it repaired or replaced okHope this helps Please keep me posted on how this is goingBest regards Mike

Try to reset the computer by taking the battery cables off and let it set for about 3 or4 min..while you have BOTH cables off touch them to each other .MAKE SURE HAVE BOTH Cables OFF because if you dont it can blow up your battery!!!!!!! then if that dont work go down the road till you get to about 18 or 20 mph cut off just the engine just one click the cut it back on DONT TURN IT TOO MUCH AND LOCK Nthe steering wheel just ooff then on that sometimes sets the trans computer and selanoids good luck

if its leaking out the bypass hole,, you need to replace it before it goes totally out,, it can also be leaking along the bearing shaft, and also on the mounting ports, if thats the case, you may just need gaskets, or re tighten the pump,

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome Chris. This is a sign of low compression. You need to check the stored codes in your computer. Your check engine light should be on. You need to scan your computer for codes. Is it on?

on top of the transmssion just below ythe battery is a pan and underneath the pan is where the filter and sonoid packs are. I hope this helps you.

1st thing to do is try cleaning the inside of the MAF sensor and having the ECT sensor tested, that controls cold enrichment, it does the same thing as a choke, sounds like you have a lean run issue. You might also consider getting the fuel injectors professionally cleaned, it can make a real difference.
