If you have not changed the fuse that controls the dash light, that is the first thing you should try. If it still does not work, the dash lights may need to be replaced. Take the vehical down to a local autoparts store and they should be able to help you out.

This is more complex and you won't find anyone to give you advice. Dealer solution on this one.
Sometime they don't even know and guessing.

Mine did the same thing. I replace the distrubitor and i have been driving for 3 days now no problems yet. Bought a new on off ebay for $90 shipped

sounds like rear harness ground wire is loose or cut, look for small single wire coming out of tailight harness , goes to body with a screw.

sounds like you may have a problem with the camshaft or crankshaft positioning sensor. check the wiring to be sure it is not loose, a replacement are about 6 bucks each.

is the sim card from the SAME network as the phone,if not then you will need to get the phone unlocked,then you can use any network sim.......

No reset or anything, that will keep it running,
other than properly diagnosing the issue and

I need some more info before i can give you an accurate diagnosis or starting point for a diagnosis.
Please answer these question's :
(1) Was the car working fine BEFORE the alternator was changed ?
(2) If so,was ANY wiring,connector's,ect. repired or replaced during or after the installation of the alternator ?

There is a two terminal key switch on some Nissan's has start and run. The start is sending power to the coil when the key goes back to run there is no power getting to the coil. And some cars have a relay on the fuel circuit that primes the throttle body and turn fuel pump on after the car starts which might not be happening.

check the fuel rail for correct fuel pressure. If the Pressure regulator is faulty, the fuel pump will send fuel to the fuel rail, but it will be dumped back to the tank if the pressure regulator is bad, The fuel needs to be pressurised to go through the injectors and into the cylinders.

If it is necessary to remove the heater assembly, the cooling system must be drained before removing the heater core.
When a heater core leaks, a new heater core is installed or the old one repaired.
Heater Housing

• The heater housing is usually under the dash and must be removed to gain access to the heater core.
• Procedures for replacing the heater core vary with the year, make, and model of car. It threfore necessary to consult the manufacturer's repair manuals for the proper procedure for replacement.

The heater housing is disassembled to get to the heater core.
Heater Core

• Remove the access panels(s) or the split heater/air conditioning case to gain acess to the heater core.
• Remove the heater coolant hoses.
• Remove the cable and/or vacuum control lines (if equipped).
• Remove the heater core securing brackets and/or clamps.
• Lift the core from the case. Do not use force. Take care not to damage the fins of the heater core when removing.
• To reinstall the heater core, reverse the removal steps.

When the heater core leaks and must be repaired or replaced, it is a very difficult and time-consuming job primarily because of the core's location deep within the firewall of the car. For this reason always leak test a replacement heater core before installation.

The Vehicle security system on this car is integrated into the electronics of the engine ECU (Electronic Control Unit) and there is no way to get around that (at least for anyone but a automotive electronics engineer), when the system senses a security breach the processor shuts down the engine after a few seconds of running. This is a common question on Nissan products, but if the system could be bypassed then what good would it be? that is why the system is part of the programming of the ECU.

1986?? sounds like a carb model but iam not sure about an american market vehicle

Check to see if she that is the car is drawing air mabey through a broken air pipe.

try taking the sender unit out and checking the connection pipe from the pump to the outlet on the sender unit but first check that you have a spark

i have seen brand new alternators be bad and what you say could easey be that or you have a wiring problem..unless you have an external regulator and that could be bad....wish i was more help
