2000 Chevy S10 starting problem

You don't have a carburator. The last carb was on my 1984 S-10 Blazer, which by the way ,I've had 26 years.
Why are you questioning a professional, who's help you asked for. Sounds like a fuel pump to me.

I have a 2000 Chevy S-10 4.3L V6 2x4. I am hearing a noise when I'm driving. The sound seems to be coming from the front and the noise isnt there when the car is idling or when I'm not on the gas. Whe

Kind of sounds like tire noise, did you recently change the tires? If not I would have the front wheel bearings and breaks checked If you need further help, reach me via phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/john_411a7faba7ce8217

Chevy S10 Parking brake does not latch

I've got a 00' S-10. The ratcheting mechanism stopped engaging when I lifted up on the pedal to release it in cold weather one day. Removed the parking brake pedal assembly today and got lucky with an easy fix. Within the ratcheting mechanism, the elbow of the torsion spring had been stuck against the release tab, holding it open. A light bump on the spring with a screwdriver got it unstuck and working fine again. In hindsight, I could have probably fixed this without removing the assembly, but it was hard to see inside. Reach in there with a narrow screwdriver or rod and lightly bump the spring before you take it off completely, it could save you some time and hassle if this is the case.

Starter starts...engine dosn't crank...starter dosn't stop.

Hi

An unusual one here !

Suspect the problem lies in the starter solenoid.

But most strange a for constant live feed with ignition off.

May possibly be more a relay problem ?

Good Luck

John.

P.S. Don´t forget to give me a rating please !

2000 S10 2.2l 2wd bucks and hops in low gears mainly then smothes out

Hmmm, sounds like the problem I just went through. Took me a while to figure it out. If your distributor cap isn't AC Delco OEM, this will happen sooner than later. Autozone caps are the WORST, won't last very long until you have internal arcing. By the way, other brands including Autozone seem to work fine, in OTHER vehicles for me. This engine needs to have AC Delco Plugs, Cap, and Rotor. After replacing with a new cap, does this problem disappear for a while, then come back? Also, make sure the cap is screwed down correctly, use a mirror for the back screw. And finally, double check that the PLASTIC screw tabs on the distributor are not broke off, causing your problem of not seating well or tight. If your are broken (VERY COMMON), only Napa makes a distributor repair kit. It's a metal arch, that attaches from the bottom of the distributor, then the screws in the cap thread into this. Hope this helps, it eluded me for months.

Oil leak above starter and hits exhaust manifold

Rocker cover gasket must be leaking. Sometimes just tightening the cover bolts will stop it. Otherwise replace the gaskets.

2000 navigator heat in the rear lukewarm heat in front

Coolant is the carrier of heat. Top off the coolant tank and re-test. If the thermostat and coolant are over 2 years old then it is time for a coolant flush and thermostat change.
