engine code 43 - electronic spart timing problem- possible knock sensor problem.. check for 5v at knock sensor wire.. if it has 5v then probably need a knock sensor.

high milage & 20 Y old, It sounds like the trany is going, yes it could be a connection some where but more then likely the clutches are going or the pump is going (which means your not getting the presure you need to engage the clutches, check to see if you are leaking trany fluid). You can try changing the fluid and filters. You will need to take the Trans Pan off to change the filter, this may help, but will not be a solution, simply a way of prolonging the most probable issue; it could also accelerate the issue, depending on how regularly the filter has been changed. it could be either a clogged catalytic converter, or a mass air flow sensor. One way to check the cat is to let the car run for about 10 minutes and look at the underside of the car to see if anything is glowing, or check it after a very short drive. To check the Mass airflow sensor locate it and unplug it while the car is running and see if it clears up.

does it have injector pulse? you may need a crank sensor. common issue and also computer are very common also.

Try adding a can of SEAFOAM to the gas tank to clean fuel system.. it worked for me

There is only 1 knock sensor on the engine. Check the connector first, and make sure you are running a decent grade of gas. You may need to replace the sensor if all else is okay

It should not keep your car from turning over. During cold weather a battery is a lot of the main problems with vehicles. The battery may be completely drained, if so, there's not power to turn the engine. Are the light nice and bright (headlights, interior lights) Check the battery cables, even though you may have lights, there could still be a bad connection to the post. Clean the post and tighten.

i get a fuel injector test done

pull seat back as far as it wil go then take all the screws out of the door pannel and then at the edge of the door nearest the pillar wedge the pannel so u can get ur fingers behind then pull hard mooving down then along the bottom pulling , now u have com to the bit thats trapped behind the dash. dont worry from the bottom corner facing the pillar lift the door card upwardsthe door card will part from the window trim and part from behind the dash in a shearing motion two new clips will be requred but no major damage

i do not think so!! - the tps should send out a trouble code, the most likely problems are===air filter clogged,fuel not reaching injectors,corroded battery connections especially the ground wire!!

With that kind of maintenace pump and bearings should be ok,the oil pressure sending units get weak on these models I have replaced alot of these for this same condition.The check engine light reads its voltage from the sensor.
