Possible blown head gasket. Check the oil to see if there is water in it. When it starts, does water or steam come out of the exhaust pipe? Those are 2 signs of a blown head gasket.

1990 pontiac grand prix stuck in gear

Gear???? Gear Peterson?? how did you get a whole car inside him I will never know, but this is something that I myself will come to assist you with. I need your location, what you used for lube, then of course your name, I know Gear well but not you. this day was going to be so peaceful. . . . i always knew there was something funny about Gear, and everyone use to say ''that boys gonna die from something getting shoved up his *** someday,'' but i never believed them until now. . . . are you responsible, if you are i swear to god you are going down, you will scream and cry and i will laugh as i look down on you and spit, and then, in the last moment, you will beg for one last chance at life, you will fear me like you've never feared before, and you will not be forgiven, you will not be released, for you are useless, you use people for your own sick pleasure, and you will pay dearly for it. never mind, i don't even think i could stomach looking at you. enjoy the guilt.

Changing fuel filter and transmission fluid on a

just follow the fuel line and you will find the fuel filter ,but if its running ok then just check the fuel lines for deterioration and leave well alone ,the fuel pumps at the garage have filters in them so you shouldnt need to change the filter unless the metal casing is rusting,as for the transmission again if it works ok then do not disturb as its only hydraulic oil and it doesnt get dirty like engine oil but if your gearbox is showing signs of bad changes and you can see bits of worn brake band in it then change the vehicle as even if you change the oil it will pack up with or without a oil change.

I can be going down the interstate at 60-70 mph

The car should be showing the check engine light--take the car to Autozone or similar business that allows free computer scans which should give you select codes indicating the area of trouble. Don't just start 'shotgunning' non-returnable parts at the problem--it can get very expensive and leave you extremely frustrated. Even if you don't plan to repair this yourself, it will give you an idea of what is wrong and give you clues to whether the mechanic is telling you a straight story. Hope this helps!

Stuck seat belt

Remove the panels to the belt, normally these can miss roll and get stuck. Unbolt the unit so you can get some slack that should be enough to release and pull it back out to correct it. If that will not do it get a replacement from a junkyard and replace.

How can I fix the engine from running rich?

this is what i did when my 89 chevy beretta failed and the guy handed me a pamphlet on turning in your junker car for a $1000...and he was kind of laughing like you failed and i got you money anyway because he thinks he knows that there's no way my car will pass again.
here's what i did.
#1 changed out all plugs and wires
#2 changed my oxygen sensor
#3 inspected all my vacuum hoses found a crack going to the MAP sensor
i just cut off that end and shoved it back on. and changed out the PCV valve and also found a crack in that hose but couldnt replace it, so i just rapped it real tight with black electrical tape.
#4 cleaned up throttle body real good and the IAC sensor with throttle body cleaner
#5 replaced the oil and filter
#6 serviced the transmission fluid
#7 replaced my catalytic convertor
#8 ran my car around and got it real hot before taking it in
retested and you should have seen the look on his face and i said thanks to him my car was only getting 19 to 20 miles to the gallon my dash computer says im getting 28 now. it was really low smog readings and he couldnt believe it.
so if you do all these things it cost $150 for a cheap cat
i think $40 for oxygen sensor
$30 for oil and filter
$60 for trans service
$40 plugs and wires
$7 throttle body cleaner
$8 PCV
total $335 it should pass
on my other car it failed smog so i went this time and just changed the cat and it passed..not quite as good as my beretta but a pass is a pass. try this and you'll probably at least pass! who knows you might even increse your mpg. Can you rate this, thanks!
