I have a 95 Altima that just dies sparatically while driving it. It spits and sputters and dies. When I go to start it again it turns over but only starts after first sitting 10-15 minuted

Get a quality diagnostic scanner on it to narrow this issue down. Sounds like an ignition module, cps, fuel pump, etc. Seriously, have it scanned for codes!

1995 nissan altima headlight issues

Is this what you have? Does the locking ring screw on or does it snap? Do you see a tab or anything that might have broken off? Can you compare locking rings from one side to the other? Or maybe try a locking ring from the other side for testing? My biggest problem is I can't see anything from here. headlamp-uhrbeak4hapd3ztnlmfd4hox-1-0.jpg

1995 Altima 2.4L How to reassemble water pump to the water pump body(or water pump cover or water pump housing ) to engine block.

There's a YouTube video at the link below showing replacement of the water pump and thermostat. It's lengthy, but at 29:40 and 30:18, it shows the cover bolted to the block. It should give you a pretty good idea of the orientation of the cover and the water pump. According to information I found elsewhere, 1993-2001 is all the same. 1999 Nissan Altima Replacing The Water Pump And Thermostat

1995 Nissan Altima Stuck in First Gear

1. check transmission fluid level or if you can change the fluid & filter. 2. check throttle position sensor (tps). 3. if fluid level & tps are ok & still not upshifting automatically, temporarily (so you can take it to a transmission specialist) , try to manually shift. starting from dead stop, shift to D1. at about 25mph shift to D2. (be gentle on the accelerator & don't over rev on each gear. release accelerator pedal & don't step on the brakes while shifting from D1 & D2).

My 1997 Nissan 2.4 liter

If there are no symptoms (symptoms may include: the engine may be harder to start; the engine may stumble / stumble, and/or hesitate), the simplest thing to do is to reset the code and see if it comes back.

If there are symptoms such as the engine is stumbling or hesitating, check all wiring and connectors that lead to the cylinders (i.e. spark plugs). Depending on how long the ignition components have been in the car, it may be a good idea to replace them as part of your regular maintenance schedule. I would suggest spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, and rotor (if applicable). Otherwise, check the coils (a.k.a. coil packs). In some cases, the catalytic converter has gone bad. If you smell rotten eggs in the exhaust, your cat converter needs to be replaced. I've also heard in other cases the problems were faulty fuel injectors.

Random misfires that jump around from one cylinder to another (read: P030x codes) also will set a P0300 code. The underlying cause is often a lean fuel condition, which may be due to a vacuum leak in the intake manifold or unmetered air getting past the airflow sensor, or an EGR valve that is stuck open.

A MISFIRING may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
  • Faulty spark plugs or wires
  • Faulty coil (pack)
  • Faulty oxygen sensor(s)
  • Faulty fuel injector(s)
  • Burned exhaust valve
  • Faulty catalytic converter(s)
  • Stuck/blocked EGR valve / passages
  • Faulty camshaft position sensor
  • Defective computer

With one scanner you can know exactly what cyl is misfiring. Tell us news.

How to bleed brakes

Supplies you will need:bottle of brake fluidsmall clear container18" length of 1/4 inch I.D. clear tubingwrench that fits your bleed screwanother personOpen hood, loosen lid to brake reservoir to be able to monitor fluid level. Removing the tires makes it easier to access bleed screws but not necessary on all vehicles. Start at the caliper farthest from the reservoir, attach tubing onto bleed screw so it is tight fitted on bleed nipple.Put enough brake fluid into clear container and put open end of tubing into fluid, ensure tube stays in fluid throughout entire process as to not suck air into system. Have your assistant sit in car and pump brake pedal three times and hold to floor, then loosen bleed screw just enough to relieve pressure in brake line, the brake pedal will sink right to the floor..this is normal. DO NOT RELEASE BRAKE PEDAL UNTIL BLEED SCREW IS TIGHTENED AGAIN. Repeat this process until clear tube is full of brake fluid and no bubbles come out of caliper. Repeat steps for all calipers. Hope this helps
