How do i change my thermostat

Follow the upper radiator hose to the engine. There you will find the thermostat housing, usually two bolts hold it to the engine. Go to the bottom of your radiator ,at left or right side you will find the radiator drain, remove about two quarts of antifreeze into a catch pan. This will bring antifreeze to a level below the thermostat. Then go back to thermostat housing, remove two bolts, lift housing, remove thermostat, scrap off old gasket, reverse process. replace antifreeze. Start engine and check for leaks. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.

How to get entry door code

Bring proof of ownership to any Nissan Dealer - they will reset code to default (owners manual should have 'How to Set' section). Once they have set it to default, follow owners manual instructions to set you own code.

Dash and interior lights do not work

Dash lights are on the same fuse as the tail lights. Dash lights not working is an indication that the tail lights are not working. The first thing to check is that the tail light fuse is not blown. Most of the time replacing the tail light fuse will restore both the tail lights and the dash/interior lights. If this is not the case you may have to trace the wires and look for a broken or unplugged wire in the harness.

Did I just get taken to the cleaners on Nissan Quest repair

I think your prices were anywhere from fair to too cheap What I would have told you, is that I would not encourage you to make one repair on a 20 year old vehicle, especially that one Next-- I would never ever install any moisture ridden rusted used brake parts on a vehicle So in my opinion, that shop should go out of business That said & the age of the vehicle, I understand the financials, but would never ever work with used parts on a braking system The old caliper It was heating up-your correct, doesn't matter why, throw it away The $80.00-- shop lost money working on that part, just a joke The ABS Module can be installed used, but NOT the HCU Hydraulic Part the fluid goes thru, that was what I was referring to before Those only fail because the fluid is not changed every 2 years Used parts are not warranted, they are other peoples junk The warranty is for the install labor I wouldn't work on your brakes for less than $500 to $1000 for all that was required-- PLUS parts & that is at 20 to 30 any hour, not $70.00 a shop charges you BUT-- I would use all new parts & properly diagnose & repair the entire braking system Bottom line here Your out of touch with auto repair costs & that shop didn't make dime & may have lost money doing what the did after business expenses Your not considering business expenses, years of training & experience, tools & test equipment or the fact you have to make a living Repair shops go out of business every day I lost $300,000 in a trans shop, in three years, personal savings, mine & my wife's,30 years of savings up to that point Very few business make money or last five years & next to none make ten years, that is IRS Data
