Next to the clock there should be two circle buttoms, you can/need a toothpick or a pen to actually press them. They're so hard to press with just your finger.
Yes, many things. First do you have any trouble codes? Loss of power at any speed almost always pertains to air (vacuum) either leaking or blocked. That's an inexpensive place to start. Test all intake vacuum including egr and pcv with a inexpensive vacuum gauge.
Other possible things to look at is dirty fuel injectors or a small stone in the fuel line between the filter and the injector but these possibilities are more labor intensive and not as common.
are you hearing and strange hissing sounds ? check breather pipes all round look for any damaged pipes. some times squeezing them, also check the breather for the auto box.. on auto box clean all the road muck off and then go for a drive and then check it, look all round. do these checks. if nothing is damaged or leaking then you need to check the sensor. it could be clocked up and might just need cleaning. switch is located next to the oil filter. original colour is yellow if replaced it will be black color.
It sounds like you may have a bad head gasket or even cracked , When the car get warm it opens up and if your rad fluid is going it your cylinders and causing the car to misfire and smoke . The easiest way to tell the health of your motor is to do a compression test and look at the oil and rad fluid .
If you changed fuses maybe it's just come back on , if the alarm isn't sounding I doubt that's it , red flashing led's on the dashboard usually are an indicator that there is an alarm but not necessarily mean that it's been triggered
The simpplest way without any equipment and it's a fast test. Have a feiend with you, wire from the distributor cap, hold it about 1/4 of an inch from a clean, non painted metal object and have your friend crank the engine. If it's good, you will see a spark jump from the wire to the metal object.Note:keep your other hand off the car, it can zap you if it's good and the wire insulation is not thst good. This is a fast test, but it really doesnt mean that there arent other components which keep the coil from fireing.. Good luck.
Get the position of the engine to top dead cented by using the reference marks at front eng pulley and the reference point on the enngine. Remoe the plug wires(it will be obvious which ones will allow you to swinf the distributor out of the way. You should be able to move the cap out of the way far enough for the distributir to clear the cap when you pull it. If it wont clear remove the wires closest to the center of the engine and it will all out you to swing th cap up out of the way., from the cap from the the distributor first using, 'white out" to mark the wires before they are removed.although it should be obvious by the length where the they fit on the cap,Also mark with white out the position relating to the base of the distirbutor and the housing.
With the cap out of the way you will see the the distributor rotor and where it is pointing at. The didstribotor is gear driven, so it is easy to position it rotor in thr wrong place when it is seated. and the rotor will not line up with the mark. There should be two bolts 12mm at the bottom of the distributor holdiing it in to the cover. and then you can remove the distributor by pulling it upwards sometimes having to rotate the distributor left and right a little to get it to come out Note:, pay attention to the rotor as you lift it. It will rotate counter clockwise. carefully with the whiteout, mark the position of the center of the rotor is in.because when you install it it is going to rotate clockwise until the center of the rotor is pointing to the first mark you made on the distributor.Push the distriburtor down until you feel contact with the gear.If it doesn't just slide into place and when the distributior housing is seated Grab the top of the rotor and rotate slightly left and right until you feel it start to slip inoto plsce. When it is seated. The rotor should be pointed where it was before removal. If the tortor is pointed too much to the right if the mark, lift the distributiror, rotate about about a half an inch to the left and seat it again, You may have to play with it to get into proper position. Too much to the left to the rotate the to rotor the rotor a little more to the right.to the right. If you have followed those instructions,You should be able to get it the first time.at worst ti might talyou a few minutes of playing with it to get it on the mark. I hope I have been clear enough to have in as simplested terms as I colud helped you. I brokre it down in as detailed instructions as i could.
Good Luck
if i am correct you will have to go in behind the fender and there will be a wire attached to a bulb fixture....grab this fixture and twist counter clock wise should pop right out......pull out the old bulb and turn fixture clock wise to secure in place....good luck
Fuel pump relay? Fuel pump itself? Bad ground in fuel pump? Check for voltage going to the pump. If volts ok, pump is bad, if volts are not present, bad relay.
