Transmission

Automatic transmissions can last a very long time, if properly cared for, and not overworked/overheated. Proper fluid/filter changes are needed!

If you are unsure, you should take the car to a mechanic, and have them inspect the transmission. If the seller rejects this idea, then I would hesitate the purchase of this vehicle.

IM having trouble with my nissan narva d22

Is this a new key as well? On a lot of modern vehicles the vehicle's electronics need to be told that there is a new ignition key and ignition barrel fitted. This will need to be done through the OBD connector under the dashboard. If it is not done the vehicle immobiliser won't turn off as it doesn't recognise the key you are using.

2001 Nissan Navara 2.7. The dash, windows and indicators not working after flat battery?

Question edited for clarity,, translated to written English and spelling corrected or 'indicators' After you replaced the battery, did you reset the security and immobilizer? The items you have problems with are all functions of the Body Control Module which is also the functions of security. Although it it is a stretch, that is the most likely as long as you have checked every fuse with a test meter that it is assigned those functions. You can do the the fuse testing very easily and quickly using the test points on the top of every blade fuse. Ultimately, you may need an auto electrician. https://www.google.com/search?q=auto+electrician+near+me

2001 Nissan navara td27. Need to locate the relay for the dash an indacators any ideas?

There is no relay for the dash indicators. I'm assuming you're referring to the dashboard's instrument panel. There's a 10amp fuse for the instrument panel that you should check and/or replace. It's in location F11 of the fuse box, located in the vehicle on the driver's side. https://fuse-box.info/nissan/nissan-navara-d22-1997-2004-fuses-and-relay

Hi I need to disable my alarm on Nissan np200 as I have lost the chip on the immobilizer, please help

Disabling a car alarm yourself can be tricky and might vary depending on the exact model year of your NP200. It's actually not recommended for safety reasons. Here's a safer route: contacting a Nissan dealership or a trusted mechanic. They'll have the proper tools and knowledge to handle your immobilizer issue and get you back on the road securely.

I have a 2008 Nissan Navara the O/D off only works when I'm holding the button in

Does it go into 4th gear when the OD button shows activated? If it doesn't, sounds like a transmission issue. Possibly the torque converter. Have you connected an OBDII scan tool and attempted to pull any TCM codes? That may be helpful in pinpointing the issue, if there are any codes stored.

To remove the starter motor on a 1994 Nissan Bluebird SSS 2 litre ATTESA-U13 engine (AWD), follow these steps: 1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to prevent any electrical accidents. 2. Locate the starter motor, which is typically located near the transmission bell housing on the engine block. 3. Remove any heat shields or other components that may obstruct access to the starter motor. 4. Disconnect the electrical connections to the starter motor, including the wiring harness and solenoid. 5. My partners 2009 Nissan Navara wont start. It makes a clicking sound but just wont start. It also has recently started overheating. The car does have alot of km's 399,000km's.

If the battery is OK the next thing to check is the starter motor itself. It usually shows as a single click or lots of fast clicks? For the overheating, how long after you start the engine does it start to overheat? If it takes a while, usually as the engine starts to get up to working temperature, the first thing to check is the thermostat. This is the most common thing to fail especially on higher mileage engines. Do this first as it's the cheapest fix. Next check the serpentine/Auxillary belt. A worn or damaged belt can slip slowing the pump down. This can also show as battery charging issues. Another cause of overheating is the waterpump failing. This can commonly be heard as a whine, chirp, or a squealing noise especially on a cold start. It can also often, but not always, be see below the pump as staining from it leaking.

Hi NISSAN PRIMERA P12 2002 D SVE 18 MARCH 2024

Hello, Malcolm. It seems like you are facing an issue with the alarm system of your Nissan Primera P12 from 2002. Based on the symptoms you've described, it does sound like there might be a fault with the alarm system or the central locking mechanism. Given that you have already tried a few troubleshooting steps such as disconnecting the battery and replacing the micro switches, it might be a good idea to further investigate the alarm system itself. Since the hazard lights are flashing without any audible alarm sound and the central locking is behaving inconsistently, there could be a fault in the alarm control unit or wiring. One possible cause could be a faulty alarm module or a loose connection in the wiring harness related to the alarm system. It's also worth checking the condition of the alarm siren to ensure it is functioning properly. Considering that the issue seems to have improved after disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, it's possible that there is an intermittent fault related to the power supply or a reset of the alarm system. If the problem persists, it might be best to consult with a professional mechanic or an auto electrician who can perform a more in-depth diagnostic test on the alarm system to pinpoint the exact cause of the issue. In the meantime, if you experience the hazard lights flashing again, try to document when and under what circumstances it occurs. This information can be helpful in diagnosing the problem more accurately. I hope this information helps, and I wish you the best of luck in resolving the issue with your Nissan Primera P12. Feel free to reach out if you need further assistance or have any more questions.
