do the thermostat and water pump, just did my cd20 and there was nothing left of the water pump

Is there a chain drive to overhead cams? If so, maybe the tensioner, chain or gears are bad.

My vanette had exactly the same problem yesterday. The glow plugs have a timer and a relay. I think that if the light on the dash goes on and off as normal then its probably the relay not the timer. So I have replaced the relay (£50 nissan dealer only) which is located in the center console below the radio/heater controls. Until its really cold again tomorrow I wont know if its really cured it but I'm fairly certain that will be it.

Hi there, just under the rear seats is where the fuel tank sender unit is and sometimes the seal will leak out strong smell of petrol, you need to remove the rear seats and the sender unit cap and check the seal, may need replacing, hope this helps.

under drivers seat

check oil in gear box if auto change filter and put new oil

lift up drivers seat under there u will c a black container un screw cap top u use the dip stick in cap to fill

First check ur gear box for oil EP80 gear oil, if thats ok then it will b ur cables as the gear change is done by cables as u say clutch is ok ?....is there plenty of free play or does your clutch go all the way to floor if the latter then mite b slave on gear box if thats ok then might b clutch nearly worn out an dragin

sounds like ur censers ar rubbing on hub also the lights is the wiring ok the viberating u here is the abs trying to work ther is a faulse reading some were id take back to garage and tell them to sort it as it sounds like they caused by being heavy handed

its a loose connection when u use turn signals ur pulling a wire take of shroud around ignition u shud see a muilty plug push back to geather this shud do it if not wriggle the wires about around un till u find loose connection

Leo,check in side the door there shud b a small leaver that springs back after u open the door so as u close it the catch locks on usually what happens is it gets rusty and stays in open position fre of with oil and try again use a screw driver in place of locking bar to test with door oped if it works ok it will lock on screwdriver, let me know how u get on, Leo
