My Chevy Avalanche won't start. It does not do anything. I've tried to jump it, checked the fuses and switched the relays. Any ideas would be appreciated.
If you're getting no power at all when you turn the key to start, try disconnecting the battery and then hook it back up. Chevy has had some problems with an ignition relay solenoid that's mounted under the driver's side dash. Disconnecting power could reset the switch....If that seems to be it, a replacement is around $250. at a chevy dlrshp.

You gave me some helpful tips. Wanted to see if you had any more ideas regarding my avalanche that won't start. I have check the connections and had the starter tested. I don't believe its the battery my windows go down, lights go on, and tried to jump it again. thanks for your help.

I'm answering my own post so other's may reference. The problem was my
Powertrain Control Moudle (PCM) kept blowing out due to a bad fuel pump.
so if you are inclined to check, your fuel pump can still work and not work correctly. So this needs to be tested under correct measures. More than likely on the truck. But I would locate the PCM and check to see if its blown.
If I find anything else I will forward it to you.

we have a 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche. I drove the truck this morning and couldn't get any sound to come out of the speakers. My husband drove it last night and he said the radio and cd player were working fine. He stated all he did was turn the volume down. The display is showing, you can hear the CD player working but there is no sound. I have checked all of the radio settings. I too have the Bose 6 cd system in my 2004 Avalanche. The stereo system works but I have no sound coming from the speakers. If I plug headphones into the rear "stereo" I can hear just fine.
Have you check the mute mode, maybe it is in mute mode.

Why the brake light works and tail light don't work Chevrolet avalanche 2003
they are dual filament bulbs so the tail light filament might have blown and not the stop light , replace the bulb to check

Code p2120 is accelerator pedal position sensor APP sensor 1 circuit apparently this is known as the reduced engine power syndrome and is quite common on the avalanche. There is no mechanical linkage from gas pedal to throttle body and it is quite common for the throttle position sensor located on throttle body to mess up and throw this code and also for one of the wires to the throttle position sensor to get hot become brittle and sometimes break. tried to dry with a hair dryer
Sam , vinegar and baking form a type of acid !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, ,baking soda by it self will neturalize the vinegar ,I'm not sure why you were doing this, no matter ,disconnect BATTERY, flush with pleanty of cold water and baking soda followed by just cold water, if you have compressed air that will help to dislodge water and hair dryer will help to .good luck.

I have a 2003 Avalanche. The other morning the battery was dead. Found out it was due to my drivers seat electric motor was constantly running. Got a new battery went to adjust the seat and it moved all the way forward. So close to steering wheel I can't get in. All other functions of the seat work except the forward and back function. You can hear the motor in the seat running. I have to disconnect the battery because of this. Any idea on how to move the seat manually? I would take the seat out but it's so far forward I can't get to the front two bolts. Any idea on how to fix this and move the seat. Please help. Thanks.
