1994 Chevrolet Suburban - Page 8 Questions & Answers
Transmission replaced on 1994 Suburban - now its not getting any fuel, acts like it wants to stall!
Could also be a clogged inline fuel filter. If there is one, it may have gotten crud knocked loose in the fuel lines or tank during the ****** repairs. Also look for a smashed or collapsed fuel line. It should be very visible if damage done during the ****** work. Have another mechanic look at it first, NOT the ****** shop, as they may be just looking for additional $$. Listen for the sound of the fuel pump motor whirring when you turn the key on, just short of starting the engine. It will only run for a few seconds before shutting off if the engine hasn't been started, but it is detectable by ear. Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at

1994 chv sub/ 4x4/5.7 Lt./350
I would start with the simple and easy things. I would check upper and lower ball joints ( can explain correct procedure if unknown) I would check the tie rods and lastly the sway bar bushings. Also i would check for equal and correct cold tire pressure. Let me know if you need anymore assitance I would be glad to help. Thank you for using fixya.com
99 suburban..changing shift cable
I assuming you mean the detent cable, sometimes shoving the cable from the opposite side to rrelieve pressure from the clips helps, also you can use a screw driver and get right next to the bracket and shove the clip to the unlocking position (sometimes hard to do with just the use of your fingers), repeat for the opposite clip holding it at an angle to where the first clip doesnt pop back into place. Hope this was helpful.
I have a 94 suburban,
your going to have to trace that fuse back to the source, start by checking the supply side of the actual fuse, once you find which side is hot, you trace the wire the other way , you have a pinced wire someplace or whatever that circuit controls has a short in the system , normally this will be a hot wire going to ground if the fuse blows right away and may control more than one thing, so be ready for that
Fuel gauge not woking on
This problem is caused by a defective fuel level sensor, the sensor is located inside the fuel tank. To replace the sensor you must remove the fuel tank from the truck.
The security kight stay on
1994 Chevy suburban during these years the alarm was after market , your best option is to remove the alarm,it installed under the dash at the steering column, the only wire they used was starter wire at the ignition with a relay connected to the transponder, there is a way around look for a small push button and press it hold it and crank the engine this bypass is hidden under the dash and can be in varies places
