Where does the horn relay
In the convinience center underneath the dash to the left of the steering column, against the firewall.
The horn relay is to the right of the turn signal flasher, and is a bit smaller in size.
After engine warm at idle
this is going to sound kinda stupid but i had the same problem with my 88 earlier this winter . It could be as simple as water in your fuel. the solution would be to put HEET in the tank. I prefer the red can unless you have a diesel. I live in interior alaska and if you let your tank get below a half it will condensate inside. This sounds to simple to be true, but if you live in a cold climate it makes a big differance. Water will make it run like ****.
Wont idle or start without
first check fuel pressure with a mechanical fuel gauge that attaches to fuel line schrader valve. around T.B.I. if no pressure with key on check fuel pump relay for correct operation, and also the oil pressure switch has the fuel circuit to it so possible oil pressure switch also. fuel pump has a check valve to keep fuel from going back to tank, so when u turn key on fuel pressure should go up within 1-2 seconds on gauge. if fuel pressure goes down quickly, possible bad fuel check valve, change fuel pump and fuel pump check valve (located right above fuel pump inside tank)

This misfire could be an intake valve or exhaust valve stuck open. Remove spark plug, and use a fiber optic camera to look in the chambers to look at the valves. It could be a bent valve or badly worn edge of a valve or simply a build up of carbon debris. I own a 95 Jimmy with a V6 Vortec and it has the same problem with a miss. mine is a bad valve, I hope yours is something small, but I hope it helps anyhow.

try looking on passenger side of front differential gears for a cylinoid , one large nut holds it in and should have a electrical plug. if this is bad your 4x4 will not engage . the bad news is it cost about 130.00 bucks but is easy to replace
1992 chevy 1500 spinning motor , not cranking. New
If you mean just a spinning noise you'll need a new starter but clean the battery connections first with a steel brush. poor or loose connection cause the intermittent problem with click, click crank.

The ignition module is bolted to the distributor, underneath the cap. It has two wiring harness' attached to it. The coil is mounted off to the side. I thnk it's on the passenger side. It too will have two wiring harness' attached and one large "spark plug" wire from it to the distributor cap.
