I had the same problem. Unless you want to put money into a new motor, you will have to just disconnect the motor and deal with an antenna that can't be lowered.

there are many possible causes for such behavior, your best bet is to start with a good tune up. if this doesnt fix the trouble you will have to have a system scan done. GOOD LUCK If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/michael_00678fd4800d19c5

ENGINE HAS LOW IDLE SURGE.ABOVE

Sounds like you have a vacuum leak. If you have the V-6 engine, those have a PCV hose under the upper intake plenum that likes to leak. You will need an upper intake gasket set, a new PCV Valve, and some PCV rated hose to fix it. DO NOT use regular vacuum hose on the PCV or you will be doing it again in about 6 months. Standard vacuum hose breaks down rapidly when it is exposed to engine oil.
.
Check all your other vacuum hoses first. Fix any leaks you find. If you don't find anything else leaking, then the hose under the plenum is your most likely suspect.

What type of antifreeze does a 1988 Oldsmobile

any type any colour ,its all the same eythelene glucol just sold in different cans and its all mixable together ,use a minimu, of 20% solution in a warmer climate and pure antifreeze in alaska and leave in all year round do not drain .Empty the cooling system every 4 yrs or so and refill with fresh antifreeze as it can go acidic with age which is the effect of combustion seeping into the cooling system ,happens to all engines even new ones so its nothing to worry about .

Hi, Have an 88 Olds Cutlass Ciera. High beams come

MOST VEHICLES HAVE A CIRCUIT BREAKER BUILT IN THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH. OVER TIME THE CIRCUIT BREAKER WILL GET WEAK & IT WILL TURN THE HEADLIGHTS ON & OFF. YOU PROBABLY NEED A NEW SWITCH & THE FUSE BLOWING IN THE TAIL LIGHT CIRCUIT MAY BE A SEPARATE ISSUE.

Need torque sequence and specs for cylinder heads

WELL ..THE FINAL PASS ON IT IS 65 FT LBS
YOU WANT TO DO THREE PASSES OF EQUAL INCREMENT'S LEADING TO 65 FT LBS
STARTING FROM THE CENTER TWO BOLTS AND WORKING YOUR WAY OUT IN A CROSS
SO BASICALLY THE FIRST PASS WOULD BE 21 FT LB.THE SECOND PASS WOULD BE ROUGHLY 43 LBS THEN THE FINAL PASS OF 65 FT LBS.

Will a a/c compreeor on a 96 lesaber 3.8 fit a 88

I don't believe it will. in 1988, the industry standard freon was R-12. around 93, all GMs were switched over to R-134A. R-12 connectors, charge ports, and even seal tolerances are very different, so an R-134A compressor cannot hook into an R-12 system. You would be better off trying to find another compressor from an 88. I hope that helps.

I have an 88 cutlas

Sounds like a plugged fuel filter. You might have dislogged some "crud" when removing the lines, etc... Can't be 100% sure without doing a test on the fuel system.
Good Luck.
