Hello, Yes, many MB cars have security codes built into the stereo header units, including my own, (a theft deterant) You never really need to input it til you lose all battery power. If you have the orig. owners manuel it may still be in there. If not you may be able to get the code from the MB dealership using the vin number. Hope this helps a bit. seems like your key is not being recognized, possible your tumbler..the ring around your ignition switch is bad

thats low miles-with care u can do twice that--a pro shop will do a leak test--cud be just valve cover gaskets--use of 40wt oil or a thickener sloes it down--------thats a classic car--new stuf has too much computercrap

Dissconnect the battery terminal (negative) for more than 6 hours and if that does not bring the display on, then you need to take your Audio system out, disconnect it and have the specialist to look at it.
