its a common problem with the w202 in other parts of the world don't know why as the uk cars don't have this problem if they have said it need rewiring it probably will do as the engine bay wires have a tendency of going brittle and shorting its a very expensive job. is the car worth spending that kind of money on as there only worth 1500 pounds or so in mint condition

You have either a bad switch or a bad motor. If the switch feels OK you most likely have a bad motor. The "park" contacts in those motors fail so it does not know where it is. You need a good multimeter to be sure though.

The official repair time for replacing the fuel tank is almost seven hours but the given time for replacing the fuel level sensor is less than two hours so it would seem it is not necessary to remove the fuel tank, though it could be necessary to lower it a little. Bummer deal! At slow speed misfire, a probable cause could be a leak in a vacuum hose or device. This condition would dilute the fuel mixture with more air making combustion temperatures extremely high. So high the spark would not occur - and you misfire. Higher speeds would not have this problem. Look for a vacuum leak.

Coil wires are probably original. Replace coil wire and spark plug wires. If those are original I bet the coil is also.

You may have a small leak in the head gasket. Have the plugs pulled and inspected for signs of coolant incursion into the combustion chambers. Also check the crankcase oil on the dipstick to see if any milkiness is visible and the coolant overflow for any signs of oil mixing with the coolant. If this is the case, eventually you will have ignition misfiring when cold until heat buildup rids the plugs of coolant.

THose are not fun. pretty sure you have to remove the grill and loosen the Radiator to sneak them out.

It's a couple of motor actuators use to adjust the seats electronically. It sounds like a broken cogs. But if you're annoyed and feeling good about your seating position, you can pull out the terminal plugs underneath the seats. Just make sure those wiring harness are connected to seats motor and not connected to the seatbelt sensor.

Are you referring to a "Daytime light control unit" (below left side of instrument cluster, or actually behind) or "Exterior lamp failure monitoring module" (it's in left component compartment).

you cannot the ecu does it i have a 1994 c180 if it ticking over to fast or slow check spark plug gap and air intake valve if this is faulty it will idel iradically
