Yes sounds like the sensor. Make sure you install the correct bulb type (voltage and wattage) to replace the old one. Most automotive stores have the correct pigtail that just plugs right in under the dash. This pigtail is attatched to the scanner. They'll be happy to show you, but they dont plug these in themselves anymore because people complained the store messed up their vehicle. Good luck.

I've had this problem for about a year now. When this happens, turn key to acc position and leave it for 10 minutes until the pass-lock light either stops blinking or goes out. Then turn off key and restart your truck. I have seen somewhere that if you do this 3 times consecutively, it will re-program the "brain" but I have not tried this yet. Good luck!

Sounds like a fuse under the hood, remember fuses blow for a reason look for shorted wires or components in the system.
