2005 Chevy Cobalt RPM's dropping and car losing power/stalling out

I DONT KNOW YOUR LEVEL OF AUTO EXPERIENCE BUT CHECK OUT PUT OF THE ALTERNATOR DURING THE PROBLEM. IF THE PCM IS GETTING LESS THAN 10.5 VOLTS THEY START GOING INTO A LIMP IN MODE. ITS A SAFETY MODE. COMMON ISSUE WITH GM. HOPE THIS HELPS

Have an 05 cobalt with

CHECK TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL.IF OKAY.IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY DONE YET TRANSMISSION FLUID AND FILTER CHANGE IS DUE AT 100000 MILES.IF ALL IS GOOD YOU COULD HAVE FAULTY TRANSMISSION RANGE SWITCH.HAVE TRANSMISSION CODE SCAN FOR TRANSMISSION FAULT CODES.

Code u2100

Means that the scan tool the shop uses can not communicate with your computer. This tells me that there is a broken or shorted wire somewhere between the connector and computer in your car, or the computer in your car is bad.

06 Cobalt LT 2.2 misfire on #1 cyl. Local parts check code

misfires can be caused by plugs , HT leads and coil/s-- AND--- bad injectors, low fuel pressure. Pull the injector for no 1 and have it checked out.as t may be the injector or the wires and connections for that injector. Make sure that the HT leads are not touching each other as it may cause a misfire on the cylinder as well

06 cobalt error code number 1 cylinder

My dad had a similar issue with his 2003 Vibe. Something broke and oil was leaking in to the spark plug and keeping it from igniting properly fusing the cylinder. The car still runs but with one less cylinder, talk to your dealership to fix the issue.
