The Delco antenna has a plastic cord that raises and lowers the mast. If it breaks, the motor continues to run. Repair parts are getting harder to find and salvage yard antenna have the same problem. I rebuild Delco antenna

Unfortunately, it sounds like the timing chain has broken,(the "flapping sound"), did you check for spark or use a timing light. If not I would start there. Cost nothing and will rule out a costly repair. Or will confirm my hunch

P is for PROBLEM This will require putting ontoa scanner to read the codes. Could be oil, oil level, oil level sensor, speed sensor etc. No guessing, just testing and a scan comes first. You can get a mobile guy or pop into your local garage and ask if its summat they can do. cheers Roger

Usually their is a relay behind the glove box. If it has a powered wire , the fuse is good. you can run the ant. from here.

check at the bottom of the pillar just inside where the sealing rubber is on the door or check on the front door pillar near the bottom door hinge.

Have you figured out if you are lacking fuel or spark ?
