I have a 1996 Buick

Looking at tne diagrams, which you can find at the link below, I recommend you check the switch. The front and back lights are powerd by separate circuits emanating from the switch. You can see this from reviewing the fisrt three links that come up under exterior lighting. http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html

2000 buick regal. Losing fuel pump voltage

http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html free wiring diagrams ! Enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine size . Under system click on engine ,then under subsystem click on fuel controls . Then click the search button , then click blue link .The 7th diagram down shows two fuel pump relays , This I have not seen before ! One is speed cont. relay an the other is just fuel pump relay ? The speed control one has a resistor in the electrical circuit . That is way your droping voltage . Fuel Pump Electrical Circuit Diagnosis (VIN K) Fuel Pump Electrical Circuit Diagnosis (VIN 1) The PCM alters fuel pump speed by energizing the fuel pump speed control relay. Under normal conditions, the fuel pump speed control relay is energized. The applied voltage to the fuel pump is controlled by a resistor assembly. When higher fuel volume is required due to increased engine load, MAP sensor value over 90 kPa the PCM de-energizes the fuel pump speed control relay circuit. The increased voltage to the in-tank fuel pump allows a higher volume of fuel to be delivered to the fuel rail. The PCM also compensates for low system voltage by energizing the fuel pump speed control relay. Have it check for codes ! Did DTC P0230 or DTC 1260 set? -- Go to DTC P0230 Fuel Pump Relay Control Circuit or DTC P1260 Fuel Pump Speed Relay Control Circuit Go to Step 3

97 buick regal gs runs fine until warm then stalls and will start for more than a second. sometimes when i give it gas it will rev for another second then stall

When the engine warms up the engine computer goes into closed loop mode and relies primarily on the O2 sensors and the MAF sensor to calculate the correct fuel to air mixture - if one of the O2 sensors is fouled or the MAF sensor is not working properly, this can cause the problem. Given the age of the car, I would also check the idle air control (IAC) and channels, the EGR valve and the throttle body for carbon buildup.

So my fuel pump has been making a high pitched noise for a while. Then one day, without warning, I tried to start the car but it wouldn't. It cranked but would not start. I turned the car on (not star

I looked at info for 3.1L vinM Buick regal. fuel pressure key on engine off, 40.5--47 psi. Can you check the vin? The fuel pressure specs I have for 3.8L engine are even higher than the 3.1L. You will get a fuel pump prime, key on engine off. You need to make sure fuel pump runs with engine cranking. My hearing is no good, I can't hear fuel pump with engine cranking. Sometimes If fuel pump brushes are bad, the fuel pump may run intermittently. Sometimes you can bang on bottom of gas tank when trying to start and the fuel pump will take off running.

What is the oil capacity level for a 454 big block motor

If it is a stock '85 Buick Regal (which I doubt), it would be about five quarts, but if the motor came out of a truck it could be six quarts. Look up the serial number and find out what you have.

1998 buick regal LS 3.8 engine dies wont turn over and stuck in park.

Well , first off being stuck in gear, there probably is a problem with The park lock solenoid prevents shifting out of the PARK position when the ignition switch is in LOCK, ACC, or OFF. The Brake Transmission Shift Interlock (BTSI) is designed to prevent shifting out of PARK when the ignition switch is in the RUN, BULB TEST, or START position, without pressing the brake pedal. The BTSI solenoid and the park lock solenoid are energized when the ignition switch is in the RUN, BULB TEST, or START position. When the park lock solenoid and the Brake Transmission Shift Interlock (BTSI) are energized, the mechanical lock connected to this park lock solenoid is pulled away from the shifter. The stop lamp switch receives ignition voltage in the RUN, BULB TEST, or START position from the BTSI Fuse and is normally closed, providing voltage through circuit 1135 to the BTSI solenoid, energizing the solenoid and mechanically locking the transmission shift lever whenever it is in PARK. When the brake pedal is pressed, the stop lamp switch opens, removing voltage from circuit 1135 to the BTSI solenoid. The BTSI solenoid is de-energized and the mechanical lock connected to the BTSI solenoid pulls back from the shifter allowing shifting. You would do well to buy a service repair manual subscription from ALLDATA OEM Auto Repair Information for Professionals you have no idea of the complexity of the electronics on your vehicle . You will need wiring diagrams to sort out your electrical issues , suggest you watch videos on youtube for voltage drop testing . if your dad doesn't know electrical testing .

What size socket does it take to drain the radiator on 3.8 buick regal gse

I wouldnt even bother cause of the issues you can have. Simply remove the lower hose and drain it. Also take off the thermostat hose and thermostat. Flush system from the block there. That brass piece in the bleeder on the thermostat neck. So next attach bottom radiator hose. Fill the block with fluid and put in new thermostat and seal. Install the hose and neck. Fill your radiator. Start it up and add as needed. TURN Heat ON! Once its up to operating temperature with cap back on. Also fill your overflow to the line. Bleed out the air afterwords. Total time is 25 minutes. You never said the year but I'm guessing a 2000ish.
