Check the plug is completely plugged into the motor. Maybe a bad connection in the motor itself. Also check the switch, try wiggling it when turning on.

are you crossing wires at the rely or junction in fuse box?

Bulbs are bad, most bulbs burn out around the same time withing a day or two and both of your brake lights may have gone bad. Try with the simple and inspect the bulb and replace if you see any discoloration to the glass on the bulb. Good luck and than you for using Fixya.

That is not what this light means.When it is on it means that the computer has seen a problem with the emission or electrical part of the engine or transmission part of the system.You will have to get the code or codes read.Auto Zone will do this for nothing.Hope this helps.Good luck.

disconnect power and ground then reinstall cables

timing chains in this engine last the life of the car with no problems, so no don't replace it.

hi normally this refers to the sensor that is past the cat on the exhaust you sometimes have two sensors, one on the manifold connected to the engine, and one part the way down the exhaust after the catalytic converter, and the code will stay until it is cleared by a diagnostic meter..hope this helps

You may, but more likely not. Make sure that if you have a theftloc radio that you have the code before disconnecting the battery. I would disconnect the negative terminal. On a side note, if your only going to leave it for a month to 2, then it is really not necessary, the only drain on your battery will be the clock. I would be a little more concerned with the fuel, and for a couple months, it will still be ok. Much longer and a fuel stabilizer will be a good idea.

Passenger Side. Take off the wheel, reach straight in on the firewall side of the engine, about 6-8 inches past the harmonic balancer. should feel the plug and the bolt holding it into the side of the block. TAKE YOUR TIME. sometimes they break apart while removing and then you really have fun getting the rest of it out.

Please check the fan to ensure they are in good working condition.

A couple of time this happens and we blame it on the thermostat.

Also you can run a scan on the car.

you probably need a new thermostat, when they fail the new ones have a safety so they stay open to prevent overheating and cooking your motor.

Get the level checked and topped up, or have the fluid replaced.

If the car is automatic transmission its probably the inhibitor switch on the gearbox faulty.

Just replaced both front bearings on my 2000 olds silhouette, the traction control light / ABS light is still on. What do i do?

if u go to like a advance auto or auto zone ect... they can give u the firing order or get a haynes or chiltons repair book that will give u the firing order

Try to spray some WD40 on the passenger side switch and work it in.
It fixed my p/window switch.

yok. simply pull on the center of the ltch and flip it to the side to lock.

The sending unit in your tank is Bad replace it.

spray some wd-40 all over where the cap scres on and then try to pull it off
