Take the serial number and vehicle ID with proof of ownership to the dealership of said vehicle and they can get you the key code and even make you a key to fit.

You should feel a temperature gradient across the radiator (hot at bottom, cooler at top) if the cooling fluid is circulating properly. If not, you are not getting proper circulation. All things being equal, check the thermostat again - if it was installed incorrectly or is faulty (not unusual), it is not opening and will cause this. Otherwise, you have a blockage somewhere in the system (such as a collapsed hose or blocked port at the pump).

Here is a suggested updated torque spec for this engine's rocker arm bolts;
Rocker arms
Step one: Torque to 11 ft lbs then tighten an additional 90 degrees of bolt head rotation. Some guys don't fuss with the torque specs and just get them good and tight. Either way, be careful, as the heads are aluminum. You do not want to over tighten these bolts

I will tell you if you tell me what type problem your having . Plus if your planning to replace it ,it does need programming . An the dealer is pretty much the only one who can do that . I know there are no more Oldsmobile dealers any more . A Chevy , Cadillac , Buick , Dealer would be my choice. I work for A Cadillac dealer an see a number of Pontiacs an Oldsmobile vehicles needing the same work .

Most people miss the side marker bulbs. Check the right side again, notice all the bulbs that flash. Make sure the left side is flashing the same bulbs. If they are, the turn signal switch is bad. I personally would live with it. They are a pain to remove and are pricey.

Start by testing fuel pressure. If not at specs, change filter and fuel pump. Pressure should be high, probably in the 40-50 psi range, any shop could tell you specified pressure. Also check for trouble codes, use a scanner.

Check up under the dash beside the steering column in that area.
You should be able to hear it if it works at all if the key is on and lever activated.

Go to the Crutchfield site and check just in case you are missing something. They probably sell the same radio and in a pinch you can call them and tell them you can't get it to work; someone should be able to help you out. They do offer great speakers and trim panels to make it look like a factory pro install too.

code po620 refers to alternator control--circuit malfunction===causes--wiring---alternator --- battery---ECM
Check that the wiring is good and terminals are tight. Have a load test done on the battery to check for failing cell that will not take a charge. Ensure that the battery posts and terminals are shiny clean. Have the alternator bench tested for out put.
