Bad EGR, IAC, TPS, clogged converter or muffler.

Start by testing fuel pressure. If not at specs, change filter and fuel pump. Pressure should be high, probably in the 40-50 psi range, any shop could tell you specified pressure. Also check for trouble codes, use a scanner.

The starter should be down low on the front of vehicle. Take negative battery cable loose. Safely raise and support the front of vehicle. There are safety issues with working under a vehicle, safety is your responsibility. Remove the following.

When you turn your wheels at idle in park does your rpms pick up ?

Have a look at the outside of the front wind shield at the top drivers side for any rust or seal failure between the wind shield and metal

Check up under the dash beside the steering column in that area. You should be able to hear it if it works at all if the key is on and lever activated.

Go to the Crutchfield site and check just in case you are missing something. They probably sell the same radio and in a pinch you can call them and tell them you can't get it to work; someone should be able to help you out. They do offer great speakers and trim panels to make it look like a factory pro install too.

Just attach the negative cable to any metal ground. This will protect the battery in the Olds and still enable you to jump start your car. Best of luck.

Do that fans run? With the A/C on? Often the relays are interchangeable, look at it, it should have a part number on it, switch it with like.......... the power door locks.......... do they still work?

Depends on which one. Some are inside the transmission above the filter, and some are behind the side pan.

code po620 refers to alternator control--circuit malfunction===causes--wiring---alternator --- battery---ECM Check that the wiring is good and terminals are tight. Have a load test done on the battery to check for failing cell that will not take a charge. Ensure that the battery posts and terminals are shiny clean. Have the alternator bench tested for out put.

Check alternator output. The warning light is supposed to come on when alternator output drops below 12 volts.
