Question edited for clarity and typos. Question moved to model category. It is a known issue. Fuel pumps can work, but not provide enough pressure, so you need to test with a pressure gauge. There is also a Pressure Regulator. I'm assuming you meant 5000 RPMs? If so it sounds like your transmission is slipping. That would also cover the other symptoms you mentioned except for unresponsive idle. I'm not quite sure what you mean by that. It's also possible that it's your computer but not as likely

You don't have to remove the dash. Remove the radio and the instrument cluster. Then you can unhook the ignition switch bracket and work on it through the hole where the instrument cluster was

With the battery in place, the length of the earth wire should give you a guide. There will be a bolt hole somewhere close to the battery box. It will probably be located on the inner wing, (fender), or one of the mounting bolts on the very top of the suspension strut.

Hello, Unfortunately there is no routing diagram. This is only sold as a complete unit (the window regulator) and is not serviced. Usually when the cable becomes dislodged it is because part of the cable plastic sheathing has cracked.

When you start guessing as to what the problem is , that's when you should take it to a qualified repair shop. You start replacing parts that doesn't fix the problem . The flasher problem is the multi-function switch . Is the security light lit on the instrument cluster ? The stalling problem more then likely is a IAC - idle air control valve problem , dirty throttle plate an bore , EGR valve sticking open a little . Your best bet , take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop.

Check fire on the coil for that cylinder. Sounds like a bad coil pack. That was just one of the things wrong with mine.

Try squirting starter fluid or ether into the carb. If it takes over you might have a blocked fuel filter. Then see if you have spark. Just pull the wire and connect to an old plug or get a tester. Make sure your hands are insulated. If you have spark then check timing. Could be the coil if there's no spark. Also could be a Passlock Sensor.

Make sure egr valve is closing propetly. Check for vacuum leaks. Do It Yourself Diagnosis and Repair

So I took it out myself today to see ? took what out ,to see what ? Do the cooling fans work ? Could be the step motor that controls the temp. gauge . How are you determining that the vehicle is overheating ? Gauge on insturment cluster ? GM had bad step motors inside thier insturment cluster's . 2003 to 2006 ! Your best bet , take it to GM dealer .

Is it a tire squeal or brake squeal?If it is brake squeal put high temp synthetic brake lube grease behind the brake pads to reduce/remove the brake squeal.This allows the pads to sit on a bed of grease and will not vibrate at the frequency which produces the squeal.
