Can't get the rear brake
Some of the cars use a round disc with two round proungs on eather side its a special too to turn the calpier in....if this is not the case most likely the Caliper is locked up and need to be replaced.
If it is a standeard caliper (pistion) You can pick up a pistion compresser from any auto parts house about 15.00
Best of luck
Transmission wont shift out of second gear
There is a shift solenoid for 2nd gear that has been known to cause these kinds of problems. Apparently it cracks or breaks but is replaceable. It is also possible that your car is in "limp mode". This will automatically select 2nd gear to use. Get your car checked for codes. This will let you know for sure. Hope this helps.
My battery will not keep
You may or may not need to replace the battery. To check if it is a drain from one of the systems on your car; unhook the battery overnight and see if it kept the charge till morning. If it is still charged in the morning then it is not the battery.
Why is'nt my transmission shifting, it only
If this is an Automatic transmission, then I would start by making sure that it has the proper amount of transmission fluid in it. This would cause it not to want to shift through the gears.

Change the thermostat! The thermostat is what opens and closes when the engine gets too hot or cold. When it heats up, the valve opens and kicks the fan on.
Thermistor problem in '95 olds aurora. what
I am not sure I understand your question. However, I believe you are taking about the thermostat.
You will find the thermostat on the engine where the top radiator hose connects to the engine. There should be two bolts that you have to remove in order to remove the metal piece that conceals the thermostat. After you do this the thermostat should be visible and you can now just pull it out either by hand or by pliers. Make sure you do this when the car is cool and has not been ran for a few hours. If you work on a vehicles cooling system and the vehicle is hot you can get burned by hot anti freeze. To put the thermostat in just do the opposite as you did to take it out. Then remove your radiator cap and refill the radiator with anti freeze. Be sure you leave the cap off and ideal the engine for 15 or 20 minutes after you reassemble your car and fill it with anti freeze because if you do not do this you may end up with an air bubble in you block which will cause it to over heat again. You can buy a thermostat and anti freeze at any of your local auto part stores. I hope this helps you out at least a little bit. I wish I could actually be there to do this for you, but seems how I am not there that is impossible. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.
We have replaced the alternator
I would spend maybe 10 bucks at the parts store and get one of the digital display meters
that plugs into the power port (lighter) and see if it is the charging system or prove that it's the dash. Should run about 14.6 volts. Make sure the smaller black wire from ground on the battery
has a good connection with the chassis. On my vehicles I run a heavy wire from the alternator mounting bracket to a good ground on the body(ie strut tower) Just to be sure.
Hope this helps
