1994 Olds Cutlass Ciera starter issues
You should have two or three wires that go to the large post on the solenoid, including the 4 gauge wire from the battery. Then one 16 gauge wire to the small post. That wire comes from the key switch.Let me know if you need colors for wires.
1994 olds cutlass supreme volt gauge shows low
check with a volt meter if u have 12 volt at the big lead on the back of the alternator engine off
if thats good start engine check to see if alternator is charging check the battery a good alterntor charges 13.5 - 14 volts, u may have a bunk alternator
How do i find the thermostat

Remove a crank car window handle
Get hold of a clean shop towel (one thats not too plush) slide it up in behind the window handle and slide it back and forth (sawing motion) all around the handle until it releases the 'c clip' holding the handle on the door. Caution dont lose the clip!
The compressor on the Ac system won't engage.
Its the problem related to faulty clutch or faulty clutch relay/.Its the compressor clutch that engage, and then the AC compressor starts running. If the clutch does not engage then compressor will not run.
---------
Test the voltage at low pressure switch on the Freon line.If there is no voltage then problem relates to low pressure switch.By-pass this switch and see if that helps.-------
Cross over the brown and light blue wires at the low pressure switch and that should kick on the compressor and fan .So try this first. If by passing the switch turns on the compressor, then low pressure switch has to be replaced.--------
But if bypassing the low pressure switch does not helps, then problem is AC compressor clutch or faulty clutch relay.Yes there is a relay.
The A/C relay is ECM controlled to delay A/C clutch engagement 0.3 seconds after A/C is turned "ON." This allows the IAC to adjust engine speed before the A/C clutch engages. The ECM also causes the relay to disengage the A/C clutch during WOT operation. The A/C relay is energized when the ECM provides a ground path for CIRCUIT 366.
-----------
Also try this, applied direct battery voltage to the green terminal on the compressor and the clutch should engage. If its not engaging then its clutch issue.--------
You will have to follow the wiring diagram and test the relay, compressor and clutch.------Click this link below, it has all wiring diagrams to be followed.

This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.
Will not start
Too many possibilities to give you answers unless you give more symptoms. I can't tell if it is fuel system, electrical system or what!
Broken spark plug
Let me geuss you broke the new plug as you were installing it, if so you just need to use a spark plug socket that had the rubber inside of it, that helps preventing snapping the ceramic on the plugs as you tighten them in, just remember the plugs only need to be snugged in, dont over tighten them.
Car overheating
I would start with a thermostat, cheapest part to start with
125,000 milage and service engine soon light came on, what's wrong
Hey I had the exact same car..wouldnt drive anything else! Had same thing happen to mine 6 years ago (it made it 230000+) So unless you have noticed any other changes in how it drives..I would say it's your oxygen censory. I just did mine in my '92 and had to do it in the '94. I mean there are tons it could be but in my experience with these cars thats a good place to start. They are easy to get to and not expensive so i hopes that helps.Stacey
