2004 Mazda MPV - Page 6 Questions & Answers
Why did my 2004 Mzda MPV shut down completely when driving?
You have a bad PCV hose and/or a dirty IAC.Replace the hose and cleane the IAC and it should eliminate the problem.
If you are at all handy, it's two bolts to remove it and it's easily
accessible. Worth while to take it off and clean it. A can of carburetor cleaner and 5 minutes of your time will get the job done.
My mazda mpv 2001 coolant
This could be a number of things so I would recommend starting with the easiest of them first and that would be to carefully examine the coolant reservoir to make sure that it is not leaking and then check the radiator hoses and water pump (located on the left side of the vehicles engine if you are facing the windshield with the hood up) while the engine is running at normal operating temperature. Most of the time if there is a leak then you will be able to see it. If you are unable to spot a leak outside the vehicle, then you will want to check the passenger side floor board to see if it is damp, as the heater core is located on that side. If that is good then your vehicle may be consuming the coolant and burning it. This is a sign that you have either a bad head or a blown head gasket. If the head gasket is blown and the engine is consuming the coolant, then it should be smoking when it is running and you will be able to smell the antifreeze burning. I hope that you have found this information useful as that is my goal. Good luck and if you have any more questions, feel free to ask me.

Replace 2004 MPV radiator
if you can see the leak and there's no stress fractures around it you could get it plastic welded (soldering iron) you could also use a twin pack epoxy filler, just make sure you scratch up the plastic first with a medium/coarse sandpaper to improve adhesion
