What size engine? If a repair shop did this work please take it back to them a.s.a.p. as if it is the v-6 engine it is a interference engine and they may not have replaced the timing belt tensioner pulley, or idler pulley or water pump. All of them parts should have been replaced! If not you are riding on borrowed time! Please check into this. But, by NO means should you add oil to a timing belt! Oil will shorten the life of your belt! Any noises indicates a problem, get it checked out to see what the problem is and quick before it becomes a MAJOR COSTLY ISSUE!

We change these all the time at the dealership, BUT, we also change the turn signal switch as well, because the problem could be either one of them and they are hard to get too. Below will be a removal procedure and a picture below that showing what it looks like. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Thomas. The flasher is mounted to the back side of the multi-function switch. To gain access, the upper steering column cover must be removed (Refer to 23 - BODY/INSTRUMENT PANEL/STEERING COLUMN OPENING COVER - REMOVAL). The flasher can be removed by pulling it forward. The flasher is serviced separately from the multi-function switch. The flasher is black in color for ease of identification (COMBINATION FLASHER LOCATION).

Are you saying there is little or no coolant? If so has the engine system gone to shut down to save the engine? Running an engine for more than a few seconds without coolant is asking for trouble. Are there any engine codes showing on the dashboard?

If it is front wheel drive with an electric fan motor check the relay and fuse first. you can run a jump wire from hot wire to fan straight to battery if fan still does nothing then motor is bad.

Transmission is in limp mode. This enables you to drive the car to service. Anytime there is a transmission code in the computer even if nothing is wrong it will stay in limp mode until the code is erased.
