You just proved that the cam belt has skipped time. That is the procendure to check. Remove the covers and line up the marks and you'll see your problem. while you have the belt off put on a new one as it should'nt skip unless it's worn out.
I have a 2000 dodge
this sounds like the flasher unit is no good and needs to be changed.it is located in the fuse panel under the dash on the drivers side.if you turn on the hazards and check all the bulbs for working,if they are working then you can look under the dash with the hazards on to find the flasher and this will show you what the signal flasher looks like at the fuse panel as they are two different units.

CODE PO202 FUEL INJECTOR 2 CONTROL CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION CONDITIONS.POSSIBLE CAUSES INJECTOR 2 CONTROL CIRCUIT IS OPEN OR GROUNDED BETWEEN THE INJECTOR AND THE PCM.OR INJECTOR 2 HAS FAILED ALSO PCM HAVE FAILED.ONLY WAY TO TELL IF PCM FIRING INJECTOR 2 IS DISCONNECT 2 INJECTOR ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR HOOK NOID LIGHT TO INJECTOR 2 CONNECTOR CRANK ENGINE.THE NOID LIGHT SHOULD BE BLINKING.IF NOID LIGHT STEADY YOU HAVE FAULTY PCM.IF NOID LIGHT NOT WORKING YOU HAVE BAD GROUND OR OPEN WIRE ON INJECTOR 2 ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR.
Car won't start when I
I had a similar problem where the battery was ok
but there was no sound from the starter and also there no lights on in
the dash when the key was turned. Checked the fuse and checked wire
from the fuse back to the ignition switch. The wire from the fuse was
ok in fuse box but had no voltage at the ignition sw. The was also no
voltage to terminal 30 in the starter relay. Ran a new wire from the
fuse to the ignition and it fixed everything. Check for voltage at
terminal 30 on the starter relay
Will the freezeplug make the car run real funny if
If your Freeze plug pops out the coolant will leak out. The car will overheat and eventually (with in minites) run bad and then it will not run at all. The question is what caused the freeze plug to pop. If the coolant froze inside the engine you may have bigger issues than the freeze plug, There is a strong possibility that you have a crack in the block or heads or in the head gasket. This would affect the engine performance.
I have a dodge stratus
The first thing to check would be the fuses, if all the fuses are good then i would take a look at the clockspring, the clock spring is located inside the steering column and its job is to hold the connections from air bag and horn and other steering components, its like a lot of wires in a tape measure, the wires pull in and out as the wheel is truned, this sounds like this is the problem , heres a picture to help explain it, hope this helps. sorry the plug with arrow is wrong picture, its the colr one thats the right one..
What does an Engine Mount
it has more than one motor mount there is one in front of vehicle lower part by radiator its a bracket that holds the motor mount attached to frame almost in the middle of motor and transmission
there is another one in front of engine i holds motor mount to the body of car

The 2000 dodge neon automatic transmission was a 3 speed. The transmission was only used for a couple years. its dodge part number is A413 or 31TH.

Smoke coming through air vents
Is it smoke? Or is it steam? If it's really smoke, it will smell like burning wires and you have an electrical short somewhere. You're going to have a fire unless it's fixed.
My guess is that it's probably not smoke or you would have already had a fire.
With that said I'm going to say that it's steam in which case your heater core (which is a small radiator located under the dash) is leaking coolant and the resulting steam is rising through the vents. The steam will have a sort of sweet and yes, a steamy smell to it. It will also leave a funny film from the radiator coolant coating the inside of the windshield.
The heater core should be replaced if my assumptions are correct.
Timing belt problems on 2000
Very likely the timing is off. As long as it's not too far off it's not going to damage anything. First one I ever changed I was 2 teeth off on the cog and it just cranked. Problem is it has to be torn back down to be timed properly. Hope it's resolved shortly
